Creative Juices Coming Back!!!!

Has it been a long time or what- I never thought I would go that long without posting and I do apologize. I had a trip to NY and then we took a last minute trip to Orlando with the boys so I was not doing any creative stuff for two weeks! I had a few withdrawals but the fun family stuff did take care of that. So- this card is with the new Garden Whimsey set which at first didn't catch my eye but then it just kind of hit me after going through the new catalog. NOW I just love it. I wanted to do something different than just a card layered so I made this window pocket. And it worked out that one of my customers was just asking about these! So, here you go! I used the new pomegranite and the blue bayou along with the faithful celery. I added the little piercing to make the pocket pop a bit from the page. I like how it turned out- let me know what you think!

Then I enjoyed this set so much that I had to try and use the flowers, as you'll see the color combo is similar in that I substituted the mellow moss on this one. I also used the curvey verses for the sentiment. This flower is so simple and yet so elegant- I love how it has the wispy feeling to it.

And that is about it for now- I will try and post a few more later this week as repayment to you all for being so dilinquent in posting. I got Wild About You so maybe you'll be seeing those little critters later this week.

Take care and stay cool as it is suppose to be in the high 90's here in Michigan tomorrow!

Okay I promised some BLOG CANDY so here it is. I pulled out some ribbons that I have for those that love ribbon, and who doesn't love RIBBON? Then for those scrappers- I have an album embellishment and some transparency words. Then I threw in some embossing powder and sticky stacks to finish out the package. I hope you will enjoy it. Now- how can you win this little package, colorful isn't it? All you have to do is post a comment and tell me what 3 colors in combination do you like to use to make cards and/or scrap a page? Then on Friday, July 13th I will announce a winner at 12 noon. You can only post 1 comment and it must be to this thread. So, share this with your friends! Good Luck!!!!

For those of you who do not know what BLOG CANDY is let me tell you. It is "goodies" that the author of a blog puts up to those people that come and read their blog. Kind of a thank you if you might call it. Well I realized this weekend that I hit 1000 hits on my blog which to be honest with you...... blew me away. I know, it has taken me 3 months but still, I didn't really think about it at all. So, tonight I am going to put together some blog candy and get it posted and let you know how you can enter to win the "candy" , so check back in the next day or two! Thanks again to all of you......................

Getting down to Business

I know, the simplest things entertain and excite me........ but I got these business cards at Staples and wanted to do something fun with them. So I sat down and wha-la! Seriously, these took me no more than 5 minutes, once I decided which stamp sets to use. Are they not the cutest little things? This is perfect for those that have their own company and don't want to spend a lot of money on business cards. The cards were 99 cents, simple but to the point- all that I need. No, I can't see my husband carrying these around handing out but for me they are great.
Now I am working on some projects for my Open House and some future classes so I will post more later. Have to meet the family for din din!
