Spring is definately in the air isn't it? I had to pull out some bright and cheerful paper and get to stamping some spring feeling cards. This little Tilda has on her spring outfit and is just waiting for a nice summer sun and spring breeze to blow in dont you think? I colored her with my copics of course and then used my nesties to layer her.
The DP is from K&Co Berry Sweet pack and isn't it just so sweet? I coordinated SU gable green and some white satin ribbon with it. The punch is a new Fiskars one called effervence or something like that. The charm is from a pack I picked up at Mike's- gotta love that jewelry aisle don't you? Then a couple prima's to finish it off!
Keep the sunshine coming girls!

Edwin has a NEW Chick!
I know- but I just had to say that! This is one of the new Magnolia's called Edwin... is this your egg that I got from Kelly over at KLStampinNScrappin store. I inked him with the Dew Drop Tuxedo black ink and colored him with my copics (again!). I love the colors that I got to use with this stamp because it is outside of what I am used to using and I am glad that I had colors that matched the CP which is K&Co paper stack. My base is white and then I used SU real rust to coordinate with the DP. I didn't put a sentiment as I found it a little difficult to choose one with this set.
I hope you like it......... gotta head off to church this morning and hope you all have a Blessed Day!

Unity Blog HOP...........
Today is the day! "View the Inspirational Blog Hop by starting at http://www.theunitystampco.blogspot.com/
Well what else could I use for a blog hop than a bumble bee! Is this not the cutest? I used some DCWV paper and some grosgrain and easy peasy little cards to say "HI!" I could not resist this little guy and so I made 2 of these with just a little variance. They are already out in the mail too!
I hope that you are all having a wonderful weekend and getting lots of time to surf blogs or craft or BOTH! Go and check out Jen E blog now she is the next blogger in the HOP!

Swirls to Mother
For my card today I chose to work on some special Mother's Day cards so that I was not last minute rushing to get them done. This is my sitting Edwin stamp and it is one of the first ones that I purchased and I love him because I can use him anywhere, on a ribbon, on a bench, in the grass, anywhere. The paper is from my Basic Grey collection but I can not tell which one because it was sent to me in single sheets but the blues and earthtones are just so pretty. Of course, Edwin is colored with my copics and I am still trying to perfect my coloring and shading and I am pleased with the way he came out- but will be studying Claudia some more (wink!) The swirls are cut with my sizzix out of some blue bayou and vellum, added some metal, dew drops and a prima. Ha- I don't typically add flowers to my Edwin cards but since it is for a mom- it had to ahve some flowers on it doncha think? I hope you like him as much as I do! Oh, Oh- did you see I stitched? Well that is kind of a funny story but I had a few choice words for that machine (my mother would laugh).
Have a great day!

Crazy Cupcake Class
I am hosting a cupcake class for my customers and put together a couple of projects, the rest are still pending. We will be using the Crazy for Cupcakes SU set and I chose it because it really is a cute set that can be very versatile. You can do birthday stuff but because you get the balloons and the cupcake platter you can easily use if for other occasions as well.
My first card is with Tempting Turquoise and Apricot basically. I used the DSP Rainbow Sherbert because I wanted the cards to be bright and cheerful. I think that I am also going to use the Always DSP for one of the other cards/projects too!
My Second project is pretty simple, it is a little basket that you can put little favors in or fill it with candy to put on the table for a special occasion. It is basically a 7x7 in piece of cardstock that is scored 2 1/2 inches all the way around and then snipped on the inner scores and pulled together. The little platter is colored with SU markers and mounted on going gray-which by the way is the first going gray I have ever used! Can you believe it? I never had that color till this week- and it goes so well with the Pink Pirouette.
So, there are two of my projects and I need to get 2 more together. I hope you all have a grand day!

Smell the Flowers
Tee Hee Hee........ are these little bunnies not the cutest? And I love it cause they are springy as well! These are little Happy Hoppers and someone sent me these images recently and I had to put some color on them and make a springy card. I colored the little bunnies with copics, added a little glitter to their wings too. The paper is from my DCWV paper pack but it is funny because the image is so large and I used a standard size card that you don't get to see much of it. I guess I am getting so used to the larger square cards, gives me more room to layer and stack- and still be able to see the wonderful papers. The flowers are from my stash of primas even though some look bigger.
This card...... there is a little story behind it and it is this (yes, I am going to admit my mistake and allow you all a smile on your faces today, at my expense) So there is the House Mouse challenge (last week) and Kelly over at KLSNS asked if we would participate and I was like, "Sure, that will be fun, I have images!" and she gave me the date and I made the card and sent it over to her. Well low and behold, at some point between me agreeing and who knows when she sent over a sketch to work with - imagine the embarrassment when I went to the HM site on sketch day and see all these wonderful cards with this sketch- which really did not look like mine. I asked Kelly about it and she told me it looked similar so she never questioned me.............. I told her next time just slap me! Oh my............ so now you know............ the rest of the story!

Springtime Thoughts
Oh my- hello ladies, I hope all is well with you. My card for today is made with hopes of Spring coming soon- all over, not just those of you in the South and West coasts. It is still so darned cold here in Michigan.
The card is actually a tent card- it still measures the standard 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 but the actual base is smaller and the image extends beyond the base. The image is a CC design from the Hunny Bunny set that I just got from Kelly over at KLStampinNScrapping, isn't he the cutest? I masked it with the High Hopes flower background as well. The base is SU barely banana and the DSP is from K&Co paper pack that I got at Micheal's after Christmas. The image is layered using one of the nesties, (thanks Cheryl!) . Happy Thoughts is from that very set from SU: the brad is DCWV spring set.
So- did you notice the flowers in the back? I used the flower soft on them to make them pop- this stuff is so fun and easy to use. I know you are thinking (if you've not used it) sure Heidi, just like glitter it will be all over. No, really it is not! Just add a little glue, sprinkle the flower soft, tap it down and then tap the rest off back into the jar and done! It doesn't get smooshed either! It is a must. Then of course, the stickles............. a staple in every crafters box.
Have a great weekend!
BLOG CANDY ALERT: You need to go and check out the blog candy on Claudia's blog- she is giving away 6 groups of Magnolia Stamps! Yes- 6 people will win. Check it out HERE.

Nice Sweet Cherries
Oh boy, another new stamp from Magnolia and I had to use it, she is such a sweet little girl and those little cherries are just irrisistable. Once again, I thought I would participate in another challenge this week and so there is a new challenge site called Magnolia Down Under and it is hosted by Kellie. The challenge indicated you must:
Include a yellow ribbon
Has to be a Tilda image
Has to have at least 1 flower
So I thought what is better than cherries, Tilda and flower? I inked her up and set her on that bench, it is not really a bench it is the dock by Magnolia and I just left the water ripples off of it and then I left room to set her on a little red cushion. The paper is SU DP which I have just opened! I told you all that I was a hoarder............ I tell you the truth! That paper is retired. LOL!
Well there are a couple gals with some sweet blog candy today as well:

Easter Blessings
I just got my new CC Designs stamps from Kelly over at KLStampinNScrappin and had to ink them up. I thought that I would get myself into the "mood" of doing a challenge since it has been soooooo long since I had done one. So I popped over to the Cute Card Thursday Challenge and saw Katharina's sketch and knew I had to give it a try.
I inked the little CC design image with Tuxedo black and colored it with my copics. I tell you these are quick and easy images to color. The CP is a variety of papers; most of which are K&Co papers and then some SU barely banana, pink piroutte and bashful blue.
I have to say the card is cuter in person, for some reason the lighting just would not cooperate with me today. I hope you enjoy it though!

Free ridin'
Todays card is made with one of my new Unity Stamps, as soon as I saw this stamp I knew I had to have it b/c it is sooooo masculine. I am always on the look out for cool masculine stamps and this one hit the spot.
I stamped with Versamark and then heat embossed with silver embossing powder. I used black, white and brocade blue from SU to make the card and embossed with one of the CB folders, I thought it made it look a bit like that nice soft leather.
That is it for today- have a good one.

Michelle- email me your address to steinrn@yahoo.com and I will send out your goodies this week! Please put BLOG CANDY WINNER in the subject so I see it easily!
Simple Elegance
Today's card is something that I was thinking about in my head, just very simple and yet pretty. You know, sometimes you just need that note card to give to someone for something special they've done but it doesnt have to be frilly with lots of bells and whistles? Well this is the card I had in my head and because it is all white I found it hard to photo- so I think it looks much better in real life.
The card is just a white base that I put through the CB and embossed it with a folder. The tag is one of the Nesties Tags and I just used it without any layering to keep it simple. You can get a variety of folders and Spellbinder Nesties over at KLStampinNScrappin: Kelly also has 10% off Magnolia stamps all the time and a special during month of FREE shipping on orders over $75, just us code MarchMad.
Don't forget to come back later and I will announce the winner of my BLOG CANDY!

Cheers 007
Katharina was having a design team call and I thought I would join it. I just got this WOJ Charlie 007 from Bizzy Becs and I just love him. For one, my hubby is an avid Bond Fanatic, we have all the Bond movies, we see them the day of release, have the books of all the gadgets, etc..... so when I saw this stamp I had to have it.
We had to follow this sketch which I really liked. I went with black and white because I wanted it to be elegant. The paper is from a DCWV paper pack. I know I will use this sketch over and over.
Don't forget about my blog candy, will be back tomorrow with the winner.

Fabulous You!
DP: SU rasberry tart
Cardstock: Pink Piroquet, Coral, real red, Kiwi kiss
Hello everyone. This is a card that I put together for a class I am teaching. I absolutely love this paper and it was good b/c I never use my cameo coral cardstock and this really let me bring it out and put it to use. Overall, this card is just a sweet cheerful pick "you up" kind of card and you can always use them. I hope the gals at the class enjoy it.
Sorry it is short today but busy week out here in California.

Sugar Bowl
I wanted to join the Sugar Bowl Challenge this week and it was to make a Christmas card using a sugar nellie image. I was not planning on doing anymore christmas cards, LOL! I didn't have a christmas stamp/image so I tried to improvise and use some holiday paper and embellishments. I used a nesties to layer and this is a new set I just got last week at Hobby Lobby. The paper is a basic grey from a stack that some people sent to me.

Cupcakes and Birthdays
It is another NEW Tilda from KLStampinNScrappin along with the BG cupcake paper. This is a great paper pack because it has great birthday papers but many are very versatile and can be used for other things. The magnolia's are 10% off so go and check them out- and take a look at the new magnolias for Easter- they are too darned cute that you'll want them all~!
I colored Tilda with copics along with a couple of balloons, which I cut out and popped up to give it a little dimension. The birthday sentiment is from one of my Stampin Up sets.

Wormy Day!
Are these little worms not the cutest? I just got them from Unity stamps this last week and since they are so cute I wanted to make the cards bright and cheerful so I chose a nice green and pink. I mean, not that I have seen a pink worm but I might add that I would RATHER see a pink worm than a green one. What about you?
The reality is that I was looking for a card the other day that was more of a "just a note" card and I didn't have any left. So I figured I would start with these little guys and of course they didn't take long to make, actually less than 3 min to color them. LOL. My papers are from one of the DCWV cardstock packs.
I hope that seeing these will just make you smile today, nothing fancy but bright, cheerful and fun. Have a splendid day!

Sweet Puppy Love
I got my new Magnolia's from KLStampinNScrappin Store and I had to put them to use, is this not the sweetest Tilda with her puppy? I just fell in love with this one as soon as I saw it. So I inked her up and used my nesties to layer her- around the edges of my scallops I used the white signo gell pen to give it a little extra. I colored Tilda with my copics as well, I can't tell you how much I just love using those darned markers- who would have thought? The flowers are primas and I used little gemstones in the center (bling em!), added a little SU grosgrain and sweetness. Oh and I even stitched the coordinating paper.
I then thought I would go ahead and decorate the inside, I have been wanting to try and sell some of my cards because if I am making 5-8/week I don't know what else to do with them. What do you all do with yours? Don't forget Magnolia stamps are always 10% off over at KLSNS store AND she has Easter stamps to preorder right now! Plus, if you order $75 worth of product you will get free shipping using code MarchMad.
Ok- you have to come back Monday or Tuesday as I am going to post my Birthday Blog Candy! I figure my birthday is March 14th and you all deserve a chance to win something sweet (I hope you think so anyways!)
