Happy Thursday- my gosh I have neglected this blog this week. I apologize to those of you that have been checking it regularly. So today's card is a LOTV, one of the images from the boys collection. This card I made for a gal for her grandson, thought it would be a cute little birthday card- and we all know how hard it is to make those boy cards at times. The cardstock is SU but the DSP is a loss for me- I pulled it from my scrap bin (you know which one I am talking about- if you are like me you have tons of scraps!). That really is it about the card though, so I will let you go on to your next blog- take care and again- sorry for not posting! Heidi

Peace, Hope, and Love
Today's card is one that I made using one of my new SU sets. I just love the sentiment and the colors together are so yummy. Cherry cobbler, olive and browns: and although they are not really true christmas colors they come together to make a rich elegant card, don't you think? I am entering this card in the SSIC challenge that required us to use a sentiment of peace.

Fall Pixie!
Today's card is in celebration of the FALL SEASON. I could not resist using one of these sweet Pixie's for this one. One, I have not used them in forever- and she just looked ready to be setting in a pile of leaves (which I don't have yet!) so will settle for the fall flowers. :) I used the SU embossing folder for the weave and another new punch for the bottom trim. I love that look. I colored her with copics and added some prima/buttons and wa-la! Fall Pixie!

Sweet Elf
Hello! Today is a good day for me, I got a text from my son and he told me he is coming home this weekend! It definately made my day! So the card I made I used my new WOJ stamp that I won over at Claudia's blog, you should go on over there and sign up for your chance to win! I got this one because it is very different and I thought it would be fun to make cards for my family over in Finland and Switzerland with these. Cute huh? The DSP is Basic Grey Jovial, my first chance to use it. And then my Catslifepress sentiment.

Vintage-ness
I am so loving the warmth and vintage feeling of this musical note stamps and these wonderful TH tickets. This card is one I did for the Beary Scrap Challenge - VINTAGE. And since I was making easel cards this day I made another one- they are tooo cute! The musical note stamp is one of the IO cover a card that I got last month at the stamp show. I am so excited to have it cause I can use for the holidays, valentine, vintage anything. The ribbon, oh my gosh, I have had it for at least 4 years and that is the last piece. It was left over from a class I took at a scrapbooking convention and it was sooo perfect for this. SU has a couple similar that would easily work as well. And that is it for you today- take care.

Monday Madness
Happy Monday !!!
Today's card is a personal challenge and that was to make an easel card. I had not made one in a long time and boy I forgot how small they are. I always picture them to be so much bigger! I might try making a pattern to make them bigger. The second challenge is the Bunny Zoe challenge that uses this sketch and Fussy Fancy for Christmas Colors. I thought it was a beautiful sketch and lended itself well to the DSP that I am using. The stamp is Tim Holtz Believe. So want a challenge? Make an easel card and post it here and I will come and see it! The tutorial is online SCS if you need it in the resource gallery. Good luck and good day!

Bold Birthday!
Welcome back! It is Sunday and I am hoping to be sleeping in! :) But I had to show you this card, I am loving it. It is not something that I would typically do (color/style) but had seen something similar and just had to give it a try. Plus, those big numbers on that SU DSP had really thrown me for a loop- had no idea what to do with it! So I used poppy and pear with the black and it really looks cool (more so in RL I think!). I thought you could easily change this card up and make it masculine or feminine too! Hope you enjoy and have a great Sunday!

Birthday Boy!
Happy Friday everyone, are you ready for the weekend? I know I am.... going to do some housework, surfing my favorite sites, crafting and who knows what else. But for now, I will tell you about this card. The paper is Basic Grey in boy colors. The image..... yep, another LOTV for their sketch challenge this week. The circles are embossed with the SU weaved folder. AND then I must say I have been seeing those cirular birthday stamps and I just had to place an order to catspress this week and they were here in days! So, that is is........ simple, cute and boyish. Have a great evening!

Hello all! Today is Wednesday- happy hump day! Glad you can stop in. It seems to be a long week already for me and I am not sure why. But today's card is a simple one, not much stamping and definately NO coloring. I have so much holiday paper and this is a Debbie Mum sheet and I wanted to really be able to see those sparkly trees. All I did is took the green snowy paper and cut out shape with my nesties- and then I just lifted it with 3D stickies. Added the tag and ribbon and it was done. Very simple but I like it. Hope you will stop back tomorrow!

LOTV & What are good friends for?
So first I have to say thank you to my dear friend Sue! I went to the mailbox yesterday and guess what I found in there...... well see that grey sheet of rubbah under my card? Yep- that is what my dear buddy sent to me. Imagine my surprise and well, I felt so blessed that I had gotten this wonderful package out of the blue! She says I should accept it graciously and therefore I will........ I do- thank you Sue! But now that you are all jealous (LOL) I better move on to the card which I made in the nick of time for the LOTV Challenge- "boys" Of course I colored my sweet little boy with copic markers: boy I need to get back to using them or else I am going to get rusty! The papers are, yep, you guessed October Afternoon! It is nothing fancy but I thought it fitting for a little boys Birthday card. Hope you enjoy and thanks for stopping on in today!

Wedding Wishes
Another simple card today. This one is made with glittery embossed paper that I layered on black cardstock, add a little ribbon and there you go! Is that not the simplest? The picture really doesn't do it any justice but it really is pretty! The sentiment/frame is a Verve stamp as well. So- to top it off, I decided to make 2 of these simple cards. And so you get to see them both. I hope you enjoy!

Pickin Friends
Hello again, glad to see you stop in! Today's card is using some more October Afternoon paper and Verve stamps. Isn't it pertty? I stamped the flowers on the OE paper and then cut them out and you all know how much I hate cutting out my flowers- I would rather have a punch. That stamp, oh, oh- I have to tell you that is my thank you stamp from Julee with my last order, isn't it cute. Tee hee..... it makes me smile.
Thats it- have a good one you all!

Embrace Life
Ah- today's card must makes me smile. I got my package of new rubbah yesterday and set to working on using them. I wanted bright, colorful and uh, well flowers! I said no more flowers but could NOT restrain myself. LOL! This is Wish Big and it has some wonderful sentiments and then the cutest flowers and look, you can add the buttons to them. Is that not the cutest? The DSP is October Afternoon which you all know how I feel about them. YUMMY I say. Ok, ok............ so off I go. Busy weekend, canoeing, crafting, and fun! Have a good one!

Simple and Clean
Hello everyone! Today's card is, or shall I say my cards are simple cards that I needed to have on hand. You know how every now and then you want a clean card, small one (4x4) that you can jot a quick note down? I made these for that exact occasion. I am also thinking of making a few more sets (masculine ones as well) and putting them in our local craft show in November. I am hoping that it is something that might sell well.
I used a friendship SU set and used earth tone colors. The simple little border lines are hand drawn just to give it a little extra. Then the speckling is also a SU background stamp. LPS Challenge was to make it simple and clean- They are pretty simple arent' they? Honestly it took me less than 10min to make this entire set- isn't that cool?
Ok, off I go! I am in a happy mood this evening as I got to talk to my son and he started his classes yesterday and I miss him! Take care- Heidi

The Savior is born................
Happy Tuesday! Did you see the Mojo Monday Sketch? Oh it is yummy once again and so I had to jump right in and make a Christmas card. I chose some SU paper from my stash, I like the color combination as it is not typical holiday"ish". I think that overall it is a very simple card but elegant. The little charm is one a friend sent to me- and I thought a cross quite appropriate. I hope you all have a wonderful week!

You and only you............
Hello! Another one of my sketch cards. I was in a card making mood last week and just started putting them out. So another with SU cardstock and DSP. I hope you all have a relaxing and wonderful Labor Day! I know I am going to do some crafting as I feel that I have done NOTHING for two straight days. :)

Oranges and Lemons?
Does this remind you of summer or what? All that orange and yellow, and green. Well that or else you feel like an orang/lemon drink! LOL. I am going to participate in a craft show this fall and I am trying to make up some thank you, birthday, and a few sympathy/wedding cards, along with Christmas of course to sell. I don't usually do well at craft shows but my youngest son said he would sit at the booth and try to sell. I may try some notebooks or something else like that as well- we will have to see how much time I have.
The paper is October Afternoon (hope you are NOT tired of it)and SU. Just a feel good card! Thanks for stopping in today- and hope it is a good one for you all!

Posie Birthday!
Hello! Today's card is another favorite of mine (it might be the little flowers!). The DSP is SU as well as the cardstock: just nice colors all the way around don't you think. The sentiment is a Verve. I actually made this a couple of weeks ago and just getting around to posting it. I am wishing you all a wonderful Labor Day weekend (here in US!). Enjoy and be safe!

Tee Card
Ok ladies, I have to share this- it is another creation that my husband came up with. The other day I gave his Mother a birthday card and I had ribbon on it like this and the first thing he thought of was adding some golf tees (of course it would not have looked good on that flowery birthday card). So we changed it up a bit and this is how it came out.
A close up of the ball that I did a little shadowing on it so you could see it a little better. I just had to laugh because he was so proud of himself- and hey, I am always looking for masculine card ideas!
Have a great day!
