Today you get to see yet another Breast Cancer Awareness card. As you know I love pink so these cards come so easy for me. I love making them and I feel fortunate to not have anyone close to me that has breast cancer and/or is a survivor of breast cancer. I give all those ladies so much credit, I know they don't have a choice but they are strong women! The background on this card is made with the Hope is set and then speckled pink on it. Very simple and easy- but says just the right thing. Once again, this is for the SSIC CHallenge.

October is PINK!
Yep- in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month we are making pink cards with pink ribbons over on SSIC challenge. I have made this one today and more to come later this week. I embossed with the block hearts embossing folder which I believe was one of my first ones- and I still love it (especially in pink!). The stamps are SU and the set was put out a few years ago in October and I have kept it for years. So for all those ladies out there fighting breast cancer and/or are a survivior this one's for you! I am also submitting to Flourishes: no buttons or bows.

Friday Sketch
Well it is back to work for me... as I am sure it is for many of you. Don't you feel like you work just to get to Friday evening and then before you know it is is Monday morning again? LOL- it really is kind of sad.
So this weekend I took a class with stampscapes (will show you later this week) and then got to work on a few challenges which I have not really done much of over the last 2 weeks so it felt good. This card I used the ODBD challenge of using kraft, black, a neutral and 1 other color, as you can see I chose pink. Then I combined it with the Friday sketch challenge and the Flourish 89 Challenge to focus on the sentiment. The DSP is StampinUP and the sentiment is Verve.

Something different
Today's card is a little different than what I typically do. It is a modified step card I suppose. The middle is a little bigger than the two side pieces. The DSP is from a stack that I got a few years ago and gave most away- but I loved the aqua and oranges so I wanted to use what I had left of it. I kept it kind of simple since I had the two coordinating papers that really are busy. The flowers are in orange and aqua (lightly) tapped on so that the sentiment is really the main thing on it. I hope you enjoyed it and I do have another one similar that I will show sometime in the future. Thanks for stopping in on this wonderful Sunday afternoon!

Snowflakes and Butterflies
Smile! That is what I do whenever I look at this card. The face on this little snowman just makes me feel good. It is a magnolia that I think I got last year- not a whole lot of coloring either but I did want to match him up with some papers/color other than traditional christmas colors. What do you think? Does he look happy or what............ but still wintery. :)

Holiday Pad Holder- Gift Card Holder
This is a project that I did with my class this evening. I think that they enjoyed it. We made it into a gift card holder but it could easily hold a little sticky note pad.

Flowers for YOU
Ok, another card that I did a "take" from one of Maureen's cards that she sent to me. I loved the sketch and so I put my own spin on it. Inside is a cute Boss's Day message. The paper is October Afternoon: verve stamps.

Distressed Thank You
I want to preface this card by saying it is not my idea. I actually got a card similar to this one from a friend and had to make one similar to it. I inked up and distressed the edges of the cardstock as well. Now notice, the base is white as is the main piece, this is not something I would typically do but I lifted it up a bit and it looks so nice and elegant. I added a couple of gems which I have been doing and I LOVE how it looks. I hope you enjoyed it.

Tag a Long!
Hello my friends! Today's project is a little different. I have been participating in the recycle swap over on SCS and one of the ladies has asked for some "handmade by you journaling tags" and I honestly love making these. I have not scrapped in so long so I have not made any good items in such a long time and so this was a lot of fun for me. This first journaling tag was made with Basic Grey and SU cardstock. It is very simple as you can see- that is just a little belly band around the middle with a cute MM clip. She really just wanted wanted some that were generic so I thought this would be fun for traveling pages. The next tag is made with K&Co line - it has the pull out tag that you can write on (as does the first one. And these tags are so quick, I made all of these in less than 30 minutes. I guess I shouldn't tell you that unless I know you like em (uh yeah, it looks like you made them in 30min Heidi!)

MOJO October
Hello Friends! I hope you had a good Sunday. We celebrated my son's 18th birthday with family. I am stuffed, lots of yummy food! Oh my- and the amount of desserts we had was crazy! I don't think that I should eat for a week but I honestly want to start over it was all so good! LOL.
Anyways- this is my card that I made for his birthday. The DSP is K&Co and the stamps is one that I ordered awhile ago but I can't recall which company (bad me!). He is very much into cars and so I thought I would make this one-now I hope he doesn't get the idea that he is getting one! :) I used the Mojo Monday sketch for this one too!
That is it for me tonight! Have a good one.

Leaves
Hello everyone! I hope you are having a fabulous weekend. It is in the 70's here this weekend, in October, what is with that? I am not complaining because it was just gorgeous, the leaves are all turning and it smells like fall. As for football- we won't even go there!
So, instead lets go towards the card. I used an older line of Basic Grey but I have to say that it is still my favorite~ I paired it with my Blessed Christmas set and just love the look. The cardstock is SU cherry cobber and pear.
And that is it! I hope you have a great sunday- celebrating my son's birthday!

Hanglar Birthday Girl!
Hello and happy birthday! Today's card is a little hanglar that I got, yep I actually got my hands on a little set of these sweeties! I love them- aren't they cute? The DSP is some more October Afternoon. The card itself is a big buckle card (always find them fun) and I had not made one in such a long time. So this week I am challenging you to either make a buckle card or make a type of card that you really enjoy but have not made in a long time! Now go forth and craft!

Hanglar Birthday Boy
Happy Sunday Everyone!
I hope you are all having a wonderful weekend. We have had a pretty laid back one, football, laundry, crafting and then movies. I like those relaxed weekends. This little hanglar boy is one that I colored a couple of weeks ago and decided I needed to get him into a card before I lose him. I decided to do it as an easel card and I made it a 5x5 one instead of the smaller version I was making before, after a couple trial and error attempts! LOL! Well that is about it- have a good one.

Vintage Day
I am so loving this vintage Christmas background stamp from SU. I stamped this in cherry cobbler on some DSP- doesn't it look just fabulous on it? The only issue, and it really isn't much of an issue, is that little blank spot at the top right- I feel like I always have to have a sentiment or something to go in there. This card just has a warm and vintage feel to me. If you like this stamp it is in the new mini catalog!
