Well I thought I should pull out some of my new SU rubbah and give it a little whirl. This is Thoughts of Father and it is a set that I just fell in love with from the start. Now, my father passed away 8 years ago so I don't make cards for this even any longer but I could not resist this set. I made a couple different versions. This first one I used DP in rose red and then added celery. I stamped the image on watercolor paper and colored with my markers. I used the bordering blue for the car. Celery ribbon and the corner tab punch- LOVE that punch.
This one I stamped on watercolor and colored with my markers as well- but the car I used my 2 copic markers, that is all I have, just 2 both in gray. But they are nice. The paper is from a DCWV paper pack that I got some time ago- the brown looks like leather seats and that is why I chose it. I really like this set and it will actually be very versatile to make masculine cards for birthdays and such.

I want to wish you all a Happy Easter, I hope your weather is better than here in SE Michigan. We have gotten at least 7 inches of snow today and it is still coming down. What a weekend to look forward to......... Easter Eggs in the snow, at least the kids can find quite easily. That is all for now- have a good one all!

Hi Heidi, Just catching up on my blog reading! Nice job! I missed the blog candy. Shoot. Oh well, I never win anyway.
ReplyDeleteWow! Those are gorgeous!! Your coloring is stunning!!!
ReplyDeleteBoth cards are beautifully done. But my favorite is the rose red. I like going out of the box, and rose red is not a color one would ususally pick for a man.
ReplyDeleteHello Heidi,
ReplyDeleteyou are so sweet .. thank you for visiting my blog today.
i am wondering.. heidi did we meet online before on scs :-) did we exchange before stamped images? that would be sooo funny.
about the magnolias.. they are so easy to buy directly at magnolias web side. really!!! even the brand new ones who everybody wants right now took only 2 weeks from sweden. i wait way longer to get my high hopes stamps and they are just cross the border in sarnia.
