Ah hello - happy Wednesday. I am so glad it is the mid-week, it has not come fast enough for me. I think that I need like 3 weekends in a row to recooperate. But that would mean it was time to head back to CA for me, so I will stick with time as I know it.
This card I used one of the new hostess sets and colored it with my copics. I will say the picture does not do it much justice as I think the image turned out truly pretty. I layered the image on mellow moss and the DP is a cosmo cricket one that was sent to me. I used the new tangerine for the card base- the colors go nicely together and yet are different. I bought the MS lace punch and used chocolate chip to make the middle piece. So- here is where I need YOUR help. I love this sketch so to say but this card I struggled with WHAT to put as a sentiment (as I think it is missing something) and how to put it on (where). Give me your thoughts please........... I will mess around with your ideas and send you the card if I choose your idea. Sound fair?
This card is Absolutley Gorgeous!! Maybe add the sentiment to the bottom right area..directly on the paper..something in pretty writing...maybe white embossed and at a angle?.....you could also hang a tag on the lace border....It's a hard one...I'm often stumped when it comes to the sentiment as well...Hugs, Ila
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely card! I love the scallops and your coloring on the main image! Just beautiful!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty and nice use of the colors! I think I would use something like "thinking of you" and stamp it on a flower on paper the same color as the flowers in the image and mount it on the choco chip area...thanks for sharing with us...nice card!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute card, I do like your coloring. For the sentiment -how about a simple oval maybe scalloped/or over a prima or with a very small light green layer under it. You could place it over the edge of the choc chip that is not scalloped so as not to take away from the scallop.
ReplyDeleteHow about "Hello Friend' as the sentiment :)
beautiful!
ReplyDeleteYou're cards are darling! Thanks so much for the nice post on my 2S4Y card! It means so much to have nice things said about my cards. Since I'm alittle nervous about showing them to anyone.
ReplyDeleteThis is a gorgeous card! Love that SU! set.

Very pretty card! I think you should emboss a Thank You or a Thinking of You on the dk brown strip next to the image.
