This set is called Lots of Love and it has a nice variety of stamps in it, which include these two hearts with swirls and the XOXO, along with the word love, a mailbox with a letter coming out of it and then another fancy swirl with a flower (which you will see below). These little tiny Valentine's are only about 2 1/2 in x 1 inches and the envelopes I made with my sizzix die. I colored them, added a little bit of sparkle and some gems.
This second project for today is a little candy holder. The little heart here is made with the stamp set and I cut it out. The LOVE word is also a part of this little set. In addition to this set on this card I used my spellbinder nestabilities oval to cut out the middle oval, then I used my MS embossed heart border punch, my embossed heart and branches punches to add a little to the card.

The thing I enjoy most about valentines day is the look on my sons face when he gets a valentines card. I should explain, for the past 8 or so years I have bought a valentines card and signed it with a question mark and posted it to my son, he has no idea who they are from and the older he gets the more fun it is seeing his puzzled expression as he racks his brain trying to work it out. It has to be a bought card as he knows I always make my cards and his words were when I told him it was me who had sent it, dont't be silly mum you'd never waste money on a bought card. The cards aren't lovey dovey but simpley say I love him and he's special but his expression is so priceless and it means he's one up on his mates who don't get a card it does wonders for his confidence and self esteem. Thats what I like best about valentines day thanks for the chance to win Julye

I love Valentine's Day because it is also my anniversary. This year will make 17 years of marriage. I get double gifts because my dh is very generous with our double celebration! Also, wanted to say what a fabulous job you did, plus the name "my cute stamps" is certainly perfect for these!
ReplyDeleteAfter chocolate, I guess what I love most about Valentine's Day is how excited the little ones get about receiving and giving cards to their family, friends and classmates. It's such a happy day!
