Ah- another Thursday over at CropStop and our challenge this week is to make a project with a bird or birdcage. I can tell you this is my FIRST card using a birdcage and I LOVE it! It was alot of fun to do and I think that I could just keep making these. I found it ended up being very vintage looking.
So I started with a paper pack that I had in my stash and chose 3 coordinating colors in neutrals with a splash of blue. The bird cage was painted, distressed and then modge podge put over the top with a little "dash" of glitter in the corner. The bird, well that little bird did not come out the way I imagined but I did use a little bit of liquid pearls and some distress ink.
This is a close up of my flowers: with a splash of glitter glue and pearls! I hope you will join us this week! And don't forget you can get 10% off at CropStop with this coupon code CTHS-01
