Ooooh Scary!

When I was up to our local scrap story the owner had made these cute little cards that had pockets in them. Basically 2 pockets, one for messages and another for goodies! So I thought I would give a little halloween twist to the card: not sure what I will do with these as I won't be handing them out (tooo much work) and well my kids aren't really into the whole idea of the card (just give em' the candy!). Scrapping Cottage Challenge #5 was to add movement to your card so as you can see I added my ghost and I put it on a little spring so it bounces. LOL!
I tried to take a picture of the ghost so you could see the spring/movement.

Case a Diva

Just a quick post today ladies! I just had to do one more Diva Case. I always love Amy Sheffer's designs, she has that eye for color, a wonderful way with twine/ribbons and oh, those darned elements and texture. She is a wiz!

A Friend

Hello! Today very quick and simple. This is a friendship stamp from ODBD and so of course, the card was made for the ODBD Challenge to use a poem/scripture on my card. As I was making the card I thought of a couple ladies that would fit this cards need, you know that special friend right? So I am challenging you to make a card for a friend and tell me why you would send the card to them.

Birthday Wish, Mojo Style!

Hello everyone and happy Tuesday................ a good start to a week here but honestly hoping it will still go by quickly. I do love my weekends! So today's card is one that I made for the Mojo sketch challenge this week and also using it for the Cropstop blocking challenge again. This paper is authentique and it is just gorgeous isn't it? I love all the combinations in the pack. The sentiment is from Verve. The ribbon I have been hoarding because I just love the grey/silver and now I am about out! Noooooo!, so guess it iwll be time to reorder. :) Have a great day.

Birds on a Branch

Happy Monday and here I am again with my ABC Toys & Crafts project: and remember that we are focusing on spellbinders. Julie even has a sale on Spellbinders until September 30th over at the STORE. Are these the cutest little birds? I just think that they are sweet and of course fun to color!
And here is a close up of the flowers that I used stickles on. Pretty Huh?

Frighteningly Awesome!!

That is what I think of this wonderful sketch from Skipping Stone Challenge. I just adore it!I used the ghost and sentiment from the Hero Arts set and the paper is MS designer paper. I just love how it all comes together- and then there is that much wanted MS Goop Punch that came out a couple of years ago. A must to any halloweener that makes cards. :)

God Understands....

Welcome to another Saturday- I hope that you have a wonderful day and great weekend. I had Friday off so I was able to do a bit of crafting and this is one of my cards I created. I decided to join the Crop Stop Challenge (blocking) this week and pulled out some nice colored Basic Grey. I know it is not really fall colors or even fall themed with it all being fall now- but I just love the dainti "ness" of this paper. So pretty and coordinate with cherry cobbler it is so beautiful! I also did a little bit of distressing on the edges for the ODBD challenge. Check these challenges out- they all give away wonderful prizes too!

Halloween Fun!

Honestly, I have no idea what I am going to do with these ATC cards yet but I loved making them. I stopped into Polly's this weekend and Ginny had done a bunch of these cute little critters and so I had to come home and give them a try. Are they not cute? So- what should I do with them? The paper is MS and SU, I used the MS goop and spider web border punches.

Today's card is made for ABC Toys & Crafts: using spellbinders. As the weather changes here in Michigan we've already seen a fall in temperatures. Soon we will start to see the color changes on the leaves. Although I love the heat, I can honestly say that the fall colors are inspiring and well beautiful. So I took imspiration from them and the wonderful pumpkins all over to make this card.

Do I like Halloween or what?

For those of you that know me well- the answer has always been NO! But this year for some reason there are so many fun vintage papers and embellishments out that I am actually loving some of the things. This paper here is Tim Holtz and I combined with Graphic 45- what could be better? The sketch is following Skipping Stones: a new company that i found this week and they have some fo the cutest little images. You check em out- cute little halloween stamps! So now lets see if I actually send out my halloween cards. LOL!

Steampunk it!

I so wish that I was better at taking photos and cropping them, all the lighting exactly right because this box is so cool. It is a recylced cigar box- it was already black so that was perfect. I wanted to make something for my son for his birthday and thought this might be a nice project. Stamp N Show wanted a steampunk project, and this is mine. Kind of eclectic but my main focus was on travel and airplanes, since my son is in an aviation program. Not sure if he will use the box but.... hopefully. Come and join us I am soooo loving these projects.

Both of my cards are following the sketch over at Waltzingmouse Stamps. I like them because they are very simple and versatile. The first card I kind of thought I would be able to use as a masculine card.
This card, very very simple and yet elegant, don't you think? I do love them! I hope that the simplicity of this card will inspire to keep it simple today! Have a good one.

I can't believe it is alreay Tuesday...... oh my gosh, I can't keep up with the week already! So I wanted to share this card. Today was a beautiful day and so I had to do this card. I am also going to enter it into the CropStop Nestabilities challenge. :)

Keepin in short and sweet today.

Here I am again- another Back To School project for ABC Design Team! I was thinking that back to school is not for kids- what about our friends that have gone back to school (college). I know a few that will be finishing up and graduating this December so I thought I would design a "college graduate" kind of card.

This one is made with K& Co Designer paper, Crafty Secrets French Mail, Memento ink. I then popped the top with 3D adhesives and added a little fall colored button.

Hello! It is Sunday and ABC Toys and Craft Challenge Day!

We are going to be making Back To School items and we would love for you to join us: kick off the school year. My kids are not young anymore so this was a challenge for me. I tried to think of things that a teacher might use- and of course saying thanks along the way!

This little combination is a clipboard covered with October Afternoon Paper. I then used the Martha Stewart Punch at the top and long the 2/3 rd mark (above it is a tape measure ribbon). The ABC are chip chatter- I have had these awhile and just wasn't sure how to use them- is this not perfect? They are set off on circle spellbinders! The card also has the October Afternoon and Martha Stewart punch- then I also used the spellbinder label 4 and circle.

Just a little Caffeine

Good Day! Do you have a friend that loves coffee or tea? Well this awesome VERVE set is such a great addition to your collection. Now, I am not a huge coffee drinker but I just had to have this set. See that little coffee ring? Isn't it perfect? So real? Enjoy your day!

Use those Scraps!

Ok, Ok......... one more card with these wonderful MMI papers and another birthday card to boot! I realized when I looked in my card box last week I had like 2 birthday cards left. So I took the scraps from the last card that I had made and started piecing it out- just can't seem to want to waste any of that paper. The swirl is from Cheery Lynn designs, I am soooooo loving this die! I used spellbinders for CropStop challenge: going to have to kick it up a notch and do some more though- just got a new one! The little hearts are Verve dies.

Fall Birthday

Hey- doesn't this card feel kind of like fall? The burn oranges, greens and yellows. I pulled out this MMI and had to play with it for a bit. The sketch is from the CropStop Challenge this week. I orginally started clean and simple and then all of a sudden I am adding hearts, buttons and twine. It was just too fun to stop!

Monochromatics.............

Hello and welcome to another Tuesday, almost put Monday there. Hope you all had a wonderful holiday weekend (for those US followers). It was quite relaxing and the weather made a huge change and so we had to forgo the beach which I had hoped for. But I did get alot of crafting done which was fun.

So this card I made using some Waltzingmouse stamps for the 3 panels on the background in brown and blush colors. To keep it vintage looking I used the lace border punch and then inked the edges a bit. Added some flowers and an ODBD sentiment to finish it off.

A BAG of Hello Gifts!

It is that time of year again, time to send those little kiddies off to school. What better way to say HELLO to that new teacher than a little brown bag full of goodies for her to use for the year. I always love shopping the clearance bins at Staples and such for little supplies like these notepads and the little designer paper clips (love to use them myself!). I thought this would be a cute little gift. We are doing Back To School things over at ABC Design Team! This Hero Arts set is so versatile for all sorts of events: birthday, welcome, thank you! The border punch is Martha Stewart- an oldie but goodie~!
