BIG BEAR

Hello again! It is mid-week and I am thrilled, that means half way to the weekend! No big plans right now and honestly hoping to keep it that way. I just adore this BIG bear, he looks so cuddly and fun doesn't he? Just another cute bear for the Cute Bear Challenge!

BEARLY....... SIMPLE

Today's card is for the Just Cute Bear Challenge, we had to make a card using a bear and it had to be a simple/clean card. I always think of these cards as no fuss cards and to be honest, I enjoy them now and then. The image is a Penny Black image, cupic bear. All I did is stamp it with momento on cream cardstock, colored it with my copics and added the sentiment. Done! I hope that you will stop back again soon!

A simple thank you

Do you not agree that this is a simple card? I honestly took 3min to make this card and I thoroughly love it. It is elegant and beautiful and yet so simple. I think that I could get used to making these simple cards! :) Today's post is short- wanted to make an appearance but a busy busy weekend in store. I hope you all have a good weekend.

Courage

Today's card was made for someone in mind, someone that is serving in the military and I thought she might like it. I find it most amazing that these young men and women are so willing to go through the gruelling basic training and the day to day hardships they do to defend their country. They are all my hero! Of course over on the Verve Parade for this month the challenge is to make items that reflect our heroes (is that spelled right?). The dSP came out of one of my K&Co paper books, the stamps is SU from a few years ago. I love it and like to leave it simple in black or brown.

I hope you enjoy it and have a blessed day!

Flowers for YOU!

Hey- another day! This image is a LOTV and I just got it in the mail last week from my friend and this one and the one I used last week are my only LOTV and I am just loving these sweetie's. I know my friend Sue is going to want some images of this for sure~! This card I used the LOTV sketch challenge with my October Afternoon paper pack, which is also a "love" of mine. So scrumptuous.... don't you think?

God Bless

So today's project is a bookmark! I have been having fun making a variety of different bookmarks for friends and I thought what better way to do this than for a HERO? (Verve Project Parade) So I used that wonderful Nestabilities label (funny story, I almost bought it the other day- only to find it tonight in my storage, I had forgotten that I bought it a couple months ago! ) and the rest is SU cardstock. Not sure about the DSP- a friend gave me the paper. This is really cute in person and easy to throw in the mail to a friend!
Thanks for stopping in!

Merry Christmas!

LOL! No, I have not lost my mind in this 90 degree weather. I just went for a little change and joined in the Cute Bear Challenge which was to make a Christmas Card and of course include a cute bear. I got this wonderful stamp from my friend Karen for the holidays and thought I would put him to use, plus, hey- it is good to get your holiday cards started early right? See the tag sentiment? Well that is one of Tim Holtz newest stamps- I got them in the mail today! I love them.

Ok, so that is all for today- have a good one!

Hero

Good Day! I am glad that you are back, as I have mentioned most recently it has been a bit of a struggle keeping my blog up because I don't have as much time to craft it seems. So, I am going to give it another try and see if I can keep up- I had thought about taking a hiatus but I really enjoy the crafting and dang, I have SO much stuff I can't imagine not crafting. :) So today's card is another one I am doing for the Verve Project Parade. I just love this sentiment and what an honor for someone to receive this- I think that you could truly send this to your HERO, don't you? All the cardstock is SU.
I hope you enjoyed it and see you later!

Just a CASE

So over at Verve they have had the project parade the last few days and the theme this month is making projects in recognition of your HERO. Well Amber made the sweetest card and so I decided to CASE it. :)
I know exactly who I will mail this to as well- one of my son's friends is in basic training right now and I thought this would be the perfect card to send to him next. I am trying to send him a card every few weeks. With that being said, that is all for today!

Have a great Sunday!

Tangerine and Lemons

That is all that I can think of when I look at this photo! I think of lemons, tangerines, and limes! I know, they are flowers but for some reason I think of fruit. This entire card is made using SU DSP and cardstock. The sentiment is also from the hostess level III. The little pearls are not SU though...... :) It is a card that I did for my class last night- just cheerful!

Color Showdown

Hello! Today's card is one that I made for a challenge that I have never participated in but loved the color challenge. Plus it has some goodies available to the participants. Color Showdown #100 which you had to use rose, celery, red and baja. Well I love those colors so here is my take on the challenge.
Have a fabulous Day!

Sweet Bear

It is Saturday! I am so loving my weekend and hope you are too! Whatcha doing? I went to see Eclipse Friday evening ( it was better than the last 2 I think), then today I had a visit with my mother for a few hours! Then home to work on a few things that I wanted to get done this weekend. Isn't this the sweetest bear? I got this as a gift in a swap that I am in (thank you Kelly!). It is my very first LOTV stamp and I just love him. He reminds me of my son's very first teddy bear. Anyways, it has been a long time since I used my copics so I did use them to color this image. The sketch is the Mojo Monday sketch for this first week of July and as always- Julee has done another beauty! The DSP is Stampin Up as are all the cardstocks. Some of the new yummy colors (pear, tangerine).
As you can see with the 2nd photo, I used some glitter for the flowers- just to give the card a sparkle and make it pop- did the job too! If you have some time, stop over and join us on the Mojo challenge.

Have a Great Day!

Comfort

I know, another sympathy card but I figured while I was making 1 I may as well make a couple of them. So I pulled out the basic grey scraps left over from my other card and the book marks. This paper is growing on my, it is quite elegant and pretty. The sentiment is from the Paper Shop and it is such a beautiful set because it gives you more than just in memory of or with sympathy. Love it! Ok, off I go- busy week.

Mark That Page

Did you all see the beautiful bookmark tutorial on SCS this last week? I saw it and knew it was something that I had to give a try. And it was so easy! I am thinking that I am going to make them in a class upcoming.
But notice, the DSP and the stampin up set is the same that I used for the sympathy card that I posted the other day. And imagine, it is a fun and "happy" thing! Imagine that! If you've not checked them out- hop over and start making some fun gifts!

Difficult to say

Today's card is one that I always have a hard time making, a sympathy card. I guess I can make tons of birthday cards, thinking of you, etc.......... but I do not have any "stock" sympathy cards. You think that is for a reason? Okay, never mind......... onto the card. Now I am laughing because my mind went blank on the SU set that I used and the cardstock! Oh it is basic grey cardstock........... dang, maybe too much sun this weekend or something. Either way- I hope it gives you some inspiration to make a sympathy card.

Butterfly

This is another card I used with the same sketch that I had the other day. I thought it was fun and simple and figured it would make a quick card. I also love the sentiment that I got from the Verve set....... I just wish I had NOT stamped the black butterlfy and instead replaced it with a punch. I know it is short today but I am trying to keep up and so today is just short. But thanks again!
