Tags and More Tags!!!!

Hello and welcome back!

Remember last week I was telling you how much I love the October Afternoon papers?  Well I wanted to use some of the smaller pieces and so what better use of them than some little tags.  These are great to put on a packages or they could be put on a card and look adorable.  If I get a chance this week I will make a card using one of them.  I have started a little box of "Tags" that I can use and/or give as a gift.  Wouldn't you just love to receive a cute little bag of these?  I know I would.

I hope you all have a wonderful week!

Flowery Fun!

Good Morning!  Today is going to be a little long so grab a seat, well if you plan on reading it all anyways.  I have been making some little smash books and board books over the last couple of weeks and I am loving it.  I even got to pull out my binder which has not been used in foreva.......

This first little book is just a little one to tuck a few photos and sentimental into to have on a coffee table or desk at work.  The little lid in the photo goes so well doesn't it?  My friend Emily made that for me and I had to use it for a prop!  Anyways, the little  pendant is made using TH die and all the papers in here are October Afternoon, I warned you all earlier that you'd see it again.

I think that what I enjoy most about these little books is that each page you can do anything with.  It really pushes me to be creative so that each page is unique from the next but also matches.  This first one is just a spot for a photo and then there is that butterfly with the pearls coming down.  The bottom one I made it so that you can actually slide a photo into that photo spot.  I may even add a little something at the bottom for some journaling now that I am looking at it again.
Here we have a little journaling card or a place for a photo and then I thought the little flower would be great to put a cute little photo in there.  Can't you just picture a cute little girls face in there.
Here is a photo of the final page in the book. Just a little sentiment and tag which could be used to accent a photo as well.  This final photo is just a close up of the little butterfly leaving a trail of pearls...........
Well if you've made it to here I thank you.  I hope you like this little book and maybe it will inspire you to create one.  I do have a few more items like this over the next few weeks.

Simply Thinking of You

,

Hello my friends, today I wanted to use up some more scraps and make a very simple card.  I have been seeing alot of kraft cards with a splash of color and just love them, don't you?  I also like when I am able to just put a simple sentiment that is stamped right on the card, making it fit the simple criteria I was looking for.

Photo Perfect Birthday!

Hello and Happy Monday!

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!  I personally tried something new this weekend, went to the gun range with my hubby and oldest son.  I have not shot a gun in probably 20 years and even told them I was not really looking forward to it.  I mean, I am not a gun person: probably would die before I would ever use one on someone.  But we got there and I got more comfortable and then it was like- I want to hit that bullseye!!!!  And dang, if I can do it at 12 feet I can surely do it at 30ft, right?  Ha- Ha....  I guess I need more practice but it was a fun thing to do with the guys.  I don't suppose I will be getting my permit to carry soon.

Oh wait, you didn't come to hear about my weekend did you?  So here is a cute little number I did for the Crop Stop Challenge this week- to use photo corners.  I know, right?  What a great little challenge because I love photo corners but don't use them often enough and this was a great little reminder to get out my punch.  This paper pack is one of the October Afternoon ones and I have to say- you will be seeing these papers around the next few days.  I have been using them all weekend!

But for now- I will let you get your week started!

Hello!  So glad you stopped in again today.   The weather here has been unimaginably HOT and HUMID (probably where you are too!).  I so want to get out there and enjoy the sunshine but geesh, who wants to sweat like that?   So you just stay inside and create, right?

This card is a big one and measures 6x6.  The papers are Pion Design papers from Europe and my family sent it over to me so I thought the least I could do is make some cards for them.  So this is one of the cards I made and sent along with my son as a gift.  The purple in that paper just pops and you can almost see those little plums.  I think that I should have used a different background color to photo the card but it is tooooo late, the card is over seas.  The sentiment is Verve.  Just lovin' this card and hope the recipient does as well.

Take care, stay cool my friends!

Its a BLUE thing

Hello!  Welcome back...... today is the big day at our house.  My son is leaving for his trip to Europe for the next 3 weeks.  I am sooo excited, and a little jealous, ok, ok.......... alot jealous as he is going to have an adventure over there.  He will be staying with family but until he gets there I will be a little nervous, you think?   ACK......

So today's little number was one I did a week or so ago with some extra paper I had sitting around. Isn't it beautiful?  I believe it is K&Co, one of their blue packs that I spared going into the garage sale this last month.  Glad I kept it: the paper itself makes the card-look at that flower! I only added the extras because I wanted some depth.

Well I do hope you liked it and hope to see you back again!

Skipping Stones....

Hello all my faithful followers and friends. I am ashamed for taking so long to post but this has been a tough week.  I did something to my neck/back and so I have been fighting bad neck/back pain along with migraines so being creative has been the last on my list.  Today was better and I was able to craft a little bit before the spasms started so here is what I made.  I needed a wedding card in which we will put either a check or gift card and this was perfect.

The little pocket measures 3.5 x 6 inches and you can just slide the little white sentiment in and out.  Mine says On your wedding on the inside and then there is room for additional writing or you could attach a gift card.   I used a variety of bling on this card: beads, glitttler, and rhinestones- love how it all came together with the light pink, white ribbon and the bling!
The sketch is from Skipping Stones #127.  I am going to submit this one for their design team. Wish me luck!   That is about it for today- have a wonderful week! Heidi

Love

Hello!  It is Monday- the start to another week!  I hope it is going well for all of you. I am feeling a bit better as the weather has cooled down a bit here so we can go outside and breathe.

I just had to use another one of the Just Rite stamps today for this card, which is for the CropStop Love Challenge.    The little label in the background is Glitz with a splash of pearls. I like how the label fits with all the other elements and it feels vintage.

Ok, ok.. so I am sorry it is short but gotta get lots of stuff done.  I will be back a little later.

Just Rite

Hello!  Are you all keeping cool?  Boy we had another hot one here in Michigan- my thermometer read 99 degree again!  Tomorrow is suppose to be in lower 80's and I honestly think that everyone is looking forward to it.  I love the heat but when it is 100 degree there is not much you can do outside......... so I tend to look forward to 80's.

So I went to our local scrapbook Sale ( YourScrapbookSupply) and it was CRAZY ladies!  I have been going for a few years and this one topped it off.  Take the 90 something weather, smash like 25 ladies into a room that is not much bigger than 15x20 ft room along with tables and tons of goodies- it was wild.  But I also got some great deals!  One of my purchases was this Just Rite Stamp set- I have been looking at this set and today was my day.  Then I saw this week's Just Rite challenge of Stars and Stripes I wanted to play along- and I thought this set lent well to this challenge. I love that it goes with my spellbinder label 4.   Check out Rhonda's online store, she has wonderful customer service- tell her that Heidi sent you.

Have a great weekend!

A Lovely Day!

Happy Friday!

It is late in the day but I wanted to get this card posted for the Sweet Stop Challenge. I really love the colors and how it turned out.   I had intended to put a Finnish sentiment on here but was not able to find one that would fit.  So I got the sweetest little CC Amy R stamp sentiments- isn't it sweet?

Well it is going to be a fun weekend (although very hot again!).  I am going to a local scrapbook/stamp sale tomorrow am with my friend Denise.  I love this sale, it is so much fun to go and watch the ladies and the prices are fabulous.  It is like Christmas!

So I do hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Bottle Decor!

Are you looking for something fun and cute to decorate for the 4th?  This little bottle tag is so cute!  It is about 2.5 inches wide and about 5 inches long with a little hole in the top to hang it on the bottle.  These are so adorable- makes me want to have a party just to decorate!

Have fun and go and create!
