The Cat's PJ's

Hello! Well I am kickin out the cards this week! I have been trying to make time to create, otherwise I just feel like "ugh". So I set to going through my favorite challenges, determined to get a few done this week! Ok, so this card is using the inspiration from the TCP challenge: it reminded me of pink lemonade with a little cherry in it. And it needed to be clean and crisp. I guess there is not much else to say- you think? Plus who can resist that tart n tangy set?

Flowers and Lace

Hello! Today's card is following the CropStop Challenge which is to use lace on your card. Now this is not something that I typically would do, it just reminds me of sewing too much. Ha ha! But I do like how it looks against the Baha background. You should join us- there is a PRIZE too! Come and join us!

I love the look that I got with the Tim Holtz Texture fade Patchwork when I inked the folder up and then used white paper in it. I think that the Heartfelt Daisy's soften it up: and perfectly cut with the spellbinder exclusives. The ribbon is sheer polka dot .

Now- just a little information: in April we are going to be having a Spellbinder Highlight and Haylie is going to be giving away lots of fun packages/prizes. Can you say spellbinder? Well don't forget (I will remind you!) to come and join us and use those spellbinders! And you can use my code CTHS-01 for an additional 10% OFF.

Waltzing Friends!

Welcome to Wednesday (hump day!). I hope that your week is going great and yahoo, think about it- it is almost half over! We are suppose to get an ice storm today! Uh, oh yeah, it is the middle of March! Anyways- thank you so much for stopping in.This card started with bashful blue cardstock and then the two coordinating papers are from my stash and I think it is basic grey, but I can't be sure. I just loved the browns, blues and vintage feel of it all. Of course I had to do some distressing and boy did I make a mess... I had shreds of paper all over. LOL!
The sketch for this one is from Waltzingmouse and another challenge is Simon Says: my "word" is Friend. I must say I do love this one. Have a great day!

Get Your Diva On!

Oh my gosh! I feel like it has been forever since I got to actually set down and make a card that was for a specific challenge. So this one I am making for the Get your DIVA On challenge over at Verve. The focus was to use natural colors (cream/white, black/grey/brown) with a splash of color: I chose eggplant which is a color I never use. So this card I started with a cream background which I embossed with Textile Texture folder and SU flower folder. I also used the Martha Stewart quilted border punch. And you can barely tell but there is a kraft layer as well. And there it is! I hope you all have a wonderful week!

ABC Birthday BASH!!

Here we are again another Monday to celebrate birthdays over at ABC Design Team Challenge. I hope that all of you have been participating this month with us. I am having a great time making cards and building up my stash of birthday stuff.
This card is quite simple but in real life it is quite elegant. I used the french script embossing folder and the spellbinder's pendant.

Then, I thought this was a really cute idea. For someone that is having a birthday why not make them a Birthday Badge. Once again I used the spellbinder pendant for the badge part and then for the "ribbon" I used a MS border punch.

CROP STOP SKETCH THURSDAY!

Hallo everyone! I hope this week is treatin' you well- it is to be 60 degree F here today and I am so excited! I can actually go without a coat AND........... yesterday I saw some little crocus' popping their little heads out of the ground, which I fear is not smart of them b/c we will probably get another frost and some snow- but hey, they know what to do!

So today's card I made following the CropStop DT Sketch (LUV IT!). Uh, what paper is this? Oh yea, some more of my fav October Afternoon! I always find it a little difficult to use those printed papers so I thought this was a great opportunity to pull it out and use the bright colors in the daisy print to contrast.

Happy Birthday (To ME!)

This month over at the ABC Toys and Craft Challenge we are celebrating birthdays! And well today is my birthday (just sayin) so here is my birthday card that I made and posted for this challenge. I do hope you will stop over and join us. The background of this card is one of my favorites, well it might be my favorite all together: October Afternoon. For my little flag, I used Hero Art clear Flag/Banner stamp set that I got from ABC Toys and Crafts: I stamped on the october afternoon and then cut them out stringing them on some baker's twine.

Its YOUR day!!!

Hello and thanks for stopping over today- a Monday! I appreciate your time and hope that you will find some inspiration today. This project if for ABC Toys and Crafts. Today's little box, yes it is a little box with a magnetic closure in the front. It is perfect for putting a little necklace or a some small birthday gift for someone! It is made for the ABC Toys and Crafts challenge this week which is what? BIRTHDAY's! I hope that you will stop over and even participate in the challenge, who doesn't need birthday cards, boxes, bags or even party favors? I will be posting some more over the next couple of weeks!
I covered the box with Basic Grey Sublime paper. I then took some neenah cream cardstock and used the MS Floral Vine punch, distressed it with a little brown ink. I then took a little birthday message and inked it with momento black ink. I then cut used a couple of the nestabilities Oval and Label 14 . The flowers are made with prima roses and the seam binding came from my stash. Just love this stuff!
So stop over and make a birthday card and join us!

VERVE FAN HOP

Hello all my wonderful friends! Today I am participating in a little Verve Fan Blog Hop............ yep, Julee has her fans excited about her new releases each month and this month we get to participate in a hop of our own. There are some amazing creations and you can join us!

My project is actually a tri-fold card that I created using alot of elements. I started with a base of cream made with Tim Holtz dies. I had to spend a fair amount of time measuring, matching up papers and curves (lets just say it was a little tedious, but fun!). I used the October Afternoon designer papers because I always feel happy matching them up with my cheerful VERVE stamps. I don't know, just sayin! I added a few little elements like the tag that has the little nestabilities square and a heart made of DCWV chipboard.

The inside of the card looks like this, I was struggline with the shadows on photographing this for some reason. I thought it would make a cute little card to send a photo of the kids or you could even attach a little gift card there in the middle. Oh and some more hearts, buttons and that wonderful butterfly from Blue Skies. Thanks again for stopping by- I hope this was a fun little project that will inspire you!

Have YOU seen a baby porcupine?

Ok, another day without a project my friends, this cold has kicked my butt...... and to top it off, I didn't make the top 10 finalist for the Heartfelt Creations DT Call. Boo hoo! So, I had to show you all something and come on, who can honestly resist this face? This is a baby porcupine! I mean, get past how ugly they are when they are fully grown ....... and this little guy is adorable. I just want to tickle those big feet! I am still laughing every time I look at him!
Have a great day friends!
