Cheery Day!

Happy Sunday! Today's card is one that was inspired by all the wonderful dies that Cheery Lynn carries. I had so much fun creating this one and could have just built on to the card over and over. All the swirls, ferns, and butterflies are so detailed. This is a bit closer photo of the card to show all the layers. I love a card that has layers and has visual depth. Now sending it is a bit more complicated but I always know the recipient will enjoy it- right?
Look at the butterfly... it is so detailed and comes out of the die quite easily. Then you can buy the inner wings to use with vellum or other colored cardstock. Then the leaves of the swirles and the fern- see all the detail? The fence and border area also Cheery Lynn.

Challenges I am entering this card into:
Simon Says: Shaped Card or Creation
Stamp Something: Summer fun
Simon Says Stamp & Show: Anything goes

PaperPlay: Garden

Stampavie: Summer

Go Confidently

Hello and Happy Sunday!

It was time for a few of us ladies to get together this last Friday and this is the card that I chose to make. I just love this paper pack and can't wait to get the new line that is out now- all the newsprint and number/letters. And the inspiration, love the sentiment. And it was fun to add elements and shapes. I hope you all have a splendid week!

WOC and LOTV Celebration

I just had to play along with this celebration! WOC and LOTV are celebrating this week! Please stop over and see what is going on. They gave us a sketch and the twist was that it had to be a birthday card- well you know me, I always love making birthday cards and of course always need to have a stock of them!

Birthday Waltz.........

Hello and Happy,.... what Wednesday! Oh it is mid-week already! Glad to have you stop by! My birthday card today is made following the Waltzingmouse challenge this week. It is a pretty simple sketch and so I really wanted to "spruce" it up a little bit. So I added the hearts, the embossing and clip. The embossing folder is a Tim Holtz folder, the polka dot stamp is a WMS and the sentiment is SU.

Touch my heart

Happy Sunday!

On Friday evening I decided to go through all my piles of designer paper and choose a few to work with. These are a couple that I chose for the Verve week 3 challenge on SCS. This sketch here is Maureen's- isn't it fun? I am keeping it short again today- have lots to get done.

You are.... Sweet!

Lets waltz again this week.... you just gotta love these wonderful stamps. I am having so much fun with these doilies from Waltzingmouse. This is the sketch used this week although I didn't get my card done in time. I wanted to keep this card simple. I stamped the 2 doilies onto the kraft paper and then the other 2 doilies are on soft pink, cut out and then raised. And, I just happened to have a button for the middle. Cute and simple.

Now- guess what I get to do this weekend. I get to spend the afternoon/evening with my friend Claudia! Yep,...... I can't wait, we are going to stamp, gab, color with copics, gab a little more, shop and probably giggle some- oh who knows. I am just really looking forward to it. Plus, if you know Claudia- you know she is so talented that I keep hoping some of it will rub off on me. LOL! Check her out HERE!

Diva-ness

Ok, so Maureen is hosting the Verve Diva challenge this month and she has inspired us to use those beautiful plastic gift cards in your purse as inspiration for a card. Well...... I am sorry to say that I don't have anything inspiring in my purse so I went ahead and used one of hers HERE. Check it out and see what you think! The sketch is also a verve sketch for the July Challenge. Did I tell you that I won some VERVE last week during the new release? Well I did and so I still need to go through my brain and decide on exactly what I want. So many new things out there too! So- thanks for stopping in and visiting, I hope that you like the card.

From the Soul..........

Hello! Glad you stopped in today. It was a little hectic weekend so I apologize for not posting- I have also been delinquent in crafting for like a week! So tonight I sat down to work on a couple cards/challenges. I pulled out my Stella paper packs- I got all of them for $2 each at a local scrapbook store sale. LOVE when you get a good deal!

So anyways- I was participating in the Verve release on Friday night- did you attend? Oh boy, so many fun new sets. It gave me some inspiration to pull out those Verve stamps and play this week.

Verv-i-licious!

Hello! Back again today with a Verve card for the July Challenges: week 1. Do you love this Cosmo Cricket paper or what? Oh yeah- this is one of my favorites. And the next best thing- is this sketch awesome? I like it because it is not something that I would have done without it. I did a little bit of smudging around the lace circle and then added the four squares (in more CC!)and then throw in a little flourish and wha-la!

Gettin my Mojo!

Hello and thanks for stopping back at my blog. I do appreciate it and especially when I feel like I have neglected the blog. Partially due to some family committments in mid June, then our vacation and well then just getting back to real life. So- I am hoping that I am back after a couple weeks of doing no crafting! This card here is made using some of my new Basic Grey paper that I got a few weeks ago at a local scrapbook sale. I paid $2 for the paper pack and so you know I got ALL of them. I just love them. The flower and the leaves are from Verve and the stamp is SU.

Relaxin.............

Happy Tuesday

I hope you had a fabulous holiday weekend. It was very busy but we did fit in some relaxation and the weather was fabulous! And then I had some timeI got to do a little crafting too. So today's card is made with a LOTV image and so I am submitting for their challenge this week (celebrate) but I also thought it was simple. I only stamped the image in memento brown and colored only a few leaves: otherwise no coloring. Kind of a sepia look. The background papers are basic grey.

Have a great week!

With that being said- a little altered box that I made especially for this CELEBRATION! What is better than red, white and blue? I can tell you, add a little red rhinestone, some clear beads, a few sprinkles........... so festive, don't you think.
