Create a Banner!

Hello!  Just another day here on my blog showing you some sweet Gina's Designs!  This is a little banner to decorate my craft room with.

I wanted something simple and natural so it would match my light chocolate shake walls.
And then I altered each of the single banners/letters with a few little pieces of chipboard.

Heidi's Stars

Hello and Happy Hump Day !!
So this last week, in the mail I got my Gina's Designs package and I was so excited to see these!  Gina is always so willing to allow us to help design new chippies and this was my first idea.  Are these not awesome?

There are some solid stars, outlines, swirls and circles!  I just love them and what better time of year to get them than "around the corner from 4th of July!"

Here is a card I made with it, which I am entering in the Your Next Stamp Challenge (sketch).

I can't wait to work some more with these and if you are wantin' some of them- you will have to check out Gina's Designs as they will be in the store SOON.

Manly Intervention

Hello, Heidi here again with some inspiration using Gina's Designs Off The Page products.  This is a frame and I chose to use it to make wall art but it would also be fabulous to put some photos in! Look at all those wonderful chipboard pieces too!

I just needed to show you this photo, as you can see that most of the chipboard pieces I have painted.  The watch is black but I did a very dry spray so it would look distressed/worn.  then the key hole has a shiny sheen on it but the key does not (it is also worn).

I wanted this piece to have some depth and texture and so I  put some layers on it and you can see that here with the gears.

I do hope you will find some inspiration in this project

Glassine Bags!

Hello everyone....   here today with a little project that I did using Gina's glassine bags.  I will be honest with you all, when I first got these I had no idea what I would do with them, I thought they are little bags, what is up with that?  BUT...  now I tell you, I am having so much fun with these.  They make great gift card holders alone or if you put them on the front of a card- a little holder for money or a card.  Alter them and put them together for a little book, the possibilities are endless.

So this is the first one I made, it is a graduation card for the daughter of one of our friends that is graduating this weekend.  That little tab at the top- attached to the money we are giving to her which is tucked into the glassine bag.  Perfect use for it do't you think?   I did decorate the front and back and the lace meets in the back and I attached my logo- did't think to take a photo for you.  I figured the back needs to be complete.  Then there will be a little card that I will tuck in it with a little message.  I love this litte sentiment because she has been so anxious to graduate and posted Yahoo on FB, fitting don't you think?

Now this glassine bag will need to go to someone that enjoys sewing I think.  I love this G45 paper and just had to add some lace, doilies and buttons of course to go with the little Gina's Designs dressform.  The lace is from a stash that my mother gave me (on both glassine bags).   The little rosette is one that I made with some ribbon: they are really easy and go so well with the doilies. :)

I hope that this has inspired you to pull out those glassine bags and if you don't have any stop over to Gina's and get you some along with the following supplies I used on mine.
