Old Time Christmas

Hello!  Doesn't this card look vintage?  I love this stamp set from Waltzingmouse, it has several sentiments and they all look so vintage/retro.   The little jingle bells are a MS punch and I love it because I can use this with an assortment of colors.  I have some I made out of some silver shimmer paper and they are gorgeous!  You will see some in the future for future.

Ok, finished my first full week at my new job so I have not been on much-sorry. I hope you have a great weekend!

Sunshine Post!

Happy Monday!

Who in your life brings you sunshine?  Well my first thought is my kids, not that they bring it to me daily but overall.  (grin).  This set is from Waltzingmouse and this is their #116 sketch this week- it fell together so naturally on this one.  I know I used that autentique again but once I had it out I had to work with it a little bit more. I also got a bunch of PTI buttons- love all their shapes, styles and some of them have little writings on them.  So I tucked a grey one on there.

I start a new job today so off I go to my new adventure.

Blessings are Flowing....

Happy Sunday!  Well we here are praying and hoping for some blessings this week, a specific one in fact.  So I was thinking of that when I was making this card.  I just love the yellow and grey combination with this Authentique paper pad.

The sketch for this card is from the Sweet Stop and I am entering this card in their challenge.  I think that the banners are awesome and how awesome is 4 banners on one card!  I will be saving this sketch for the future.

Have a Blessed Day!

Skipping Halloween

Happy Spooky Saturday! (hee hee!)

Ok, so Christmas earlier in the week and now Halloween?  Yep, I gotta back up a little and re-organize my priorities and get on track for my card making schedule.  What cards are you working on now?

This card is made for the skipping stones sketch challenge this week as well as using twine/trim for the Really Reasonable Ribbon challenge.

THANKFUL for you!

Hello, another fun and "pretty" card that I made a week or so ago.  I have been very slow at getting my posts up in time for challenges but it is funny because I am actually crafting- so why can I not get myself together???  Ugh, not sure what it is.

Anyways- I got this punch a few weeks ago and love how it looks layered, letting the paper peak through.  It is very elegant don't you think? The flower is Verve and the leaves are spellbinder.

Have a wonderful week!

Country Christmas

Hello everyone!

Can you believe I am making Christmas cards already?  I saw this Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge sketch and knew I wanted to go countryish christmas.  So I pulled out this yummy Authentique paper pack and went to work.  I also got to use my SU nestabilities which have been sitting there for at least 3 weeks.

I hope you will join us this week!

Celebrate in Circles

Hello my friends!  I hope this Tuesday finds you all doing wonderfully.  It has finally cooled down considerably here in Michigan and is a nice change, the days are just beautiful, sunny and refreshing.  Love it..... and that is alot from a gal who loves the temperatures in the 80's!

So this little number is a birthday card for Waltzingmouse challenge a week or so ago (once again, late!). But I loved all the fun prints.. and the circles of course.

Simple Skipping Stone

Hello and welcome to Tuesday!

I hope you are all having a wonderful week.  To get me started I decided to participate in the skipping stones challenge again this week.  It was a very simple sketch and I thought better late than never, right?  I have been needing some thank you cards so I thought I would make this into one. I do hope you have a wonderful day!

Flourish and Pinterest....

This week over on Flourishes Challenge they are having us choose a Pinterest Christmas photo as our inspirations.  Well I just love Christmas so I was all over this challenge. Here is my picture that I chose, this year I would love to have some of these on my doorways.  I already have a wonderful swag that hangs between my dining and living but this is so sweet I must find more places.

Of course the challenge would not be complete with my response to the challenge correct?  As soon as I saw the doorway I immediately thought of a window and my window die that I have not used nearly enough.  So I pulled that out and I wanted to keep it country"ish" so to speak so this is my MME paper pad, just love these peeled paint papers.

I hope you will stop on over and check out all the wonderful holiday inspiration, or better yet.... join us!

Pretty in Pink!

Hello and welcome back!  Today's project is an altered album that I am going to submit for the Simon Says Stamp and Show Challenge READ IT!
Now, you may not read this book but once the pictures are in it and the journaling is done you will definately enjoy reading it.  I love these books sitting on the coffee table just to flip through and enjoy!

A couple of the inside pages.  This one here is a frame that you can pull out the inside chipboard and use it as a template for cutting the photo that you want to put back in.  I also included another tab so it can be attached to the final photos so you still have the same effect.
And a final page- this little flower insert can come out and be used for journaling and/or you could add a photo and tuck it into the pocket.

Hang in There...............

Happy Saturday!

I got a few minutes this morning to participate in the Skipping Stones Challenge.  It is quite a simple sketch and I had a card in my head but this one just did not turn out. I spent so much time changing it up, taking parts off.....  and then this photo was so challenging to take (overcast and rainy today).  The little sentiment is a Skipping Stone Sentiment too!

Have a great weekend!

Flowers and Birthdays

Hello and welcome back!

Oh I am so mad at myself on this one, I had originally done this one for the Cheery Lynn challenge last week and didn't get it posted!  But either way, this is another card that I made this last weekend that after it was done I went, WOW- that is really pretty, did I make this?  LOL!  I know sometimes I truly surprise myself.  I look at all these other ladies and imagine creating like many of them and then I pull one out of my hat.  It just really takes a long time to come up with this idea and then make it like it should in your head.  Ah, maybe they all have that same problem, it just looks easier on their blogs. (does that even make sense?)

Take care!

A little MOJO Kick Start!

Happy Monday!

I hope you all had a wonderful holiday weekend.  It was quite busy here, lets see boating and dinner with friends, a trip to move one child into dorm, then out with family, another day visiting with family, a bike ride and ended it with taking that child back to college to kick off his junior year.  I was thinking as I was seeing all these back to school photos of kids- my boys would not be happy if I did that to them. So I didn't.......... you get to see cards.

Today's card I made last night for the MOJO Monday sketch challenge.  I have been wanting to get back into those and put my foot down this weekend........... so here it is.  This is one of those cards that once it is done you go WOW- that really is pretty!  I am sure the photo does not do it justice but it is a gorgeous card!

Have a great week!

Other challenges:   SSSC: anything goes, Stamp & Create: anything goes,

Haunting ......

Happy Labor Day Weekend!

Today I got a few minutes to pull out some crafty stuff and I thought I would play along with the Skipping Stones Challenge.  I thought the sketch was simple and I had a good time with it.  I typically do not do cards like this, with the hole in the middle and the image on the inside but I do like how it turned out.  This image is from G45!  (I don't have any SS yet).

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend with family and friends!

Uber Halloween!

Oh boy- is that too big?  Ah, nah- I was at it again!  I made this little Halloween album on a request order.  I knew when I started it I wanted the lamp post and a fence, and I got them!  I used some distress inks on the fence and then I put a little piece of yellow paper behind the lamp  and then I smudged a little bit of ink on it to give it a light shimmer look

This is what it looks like when you first open it.  I wanted the edges on the right to have a little mix and match and I love how it turned out.  The 31 is peeking out from behind the acetate and then there is a little folder tab, and then a die cut and finally a layered circle!

This is the page with the die cut layer- and I used the cat from the front page- well it would actually be the reverse die cut out of it. Cute huh?   What about that postcard stamp?  OH My goodness- I so love that G45 Halloween set.  I want to set down this weekend and make some cards with it  (if I can pull myself away from the albums!)

Here is the last page alone, perfect for a Halloween picture of the hubby or kids, or the entire family with a little sentiment!  :)    I hope you have enjoyed this one- remember that prior to last year, I would never make anything Halloween.  I am loving it now!
