Delightful Birthday

This is a card that I made this last weekend for a color sketch over at Verve. Is it not beautiful? I would never have used these colors together but I love them now: Teal, Olive and Black. The teal is embossed with my Fleur folder and then the black is punched with the MS Deep Edge Floral Vine punch. I will tell you the deep edges I thought would be too big for cards but I am loving them! The sentiment is an InkaDinkaDoo,

I hope you have a wonderful week!

Merry Christmas

Even though I am pretty much done with Christmas cards I still had this stamp that my SCS friend Jackie sent to me last year so I wanted to ink her up. The DSP is a stack of K&Co that I bought on clearance last year. I love the deep red/marron and the olive.
I thought it would be nice to decorate the inside of the card as well- keeping is simple but coordinating it with the front. Now I can just write in my message and send it off to that someone special.

Pizza or Turkey?

Are you all tired of left overs yet? Well here is a cute little pizza box that I made this last weekend. I am going to put holiday gifts in it but you could fill it with chocolates (yum) or a even a gift card! I know you've all seen the pizza boxes on SCS and they take but 5 minutes to make and then the fun part begins. I decorated this one with BG paper from a year or two ago. Coordinated with some SU ribbon. The sentiment is Verve which is nested on nestabilities. The big pointsettia- I have about 4 of these and do you know, I have NO idea where they came from but I want more.

I hope you are getting all your fun details in order for the holidays.

Christmas Friends

I hope all of you have full tummies and got to spend lots of wonderful times with your family. I know we did and I am stuffed to the brim........... but still looking forward to those left overs! I love them.
Today's card is another one that I made with my Penny Black Christmas set from ABC Toys and Crafts. These little critters just tickle my funny bone. I colored them with my copics after stamping the image with Memento ink. The image is of course punched with my nestabilities Label Four.
So now that Thanksgiving is over, we all need to focus on finishing up our cards and oh boy- shopping. Speaking of which- I am probably out there now! Have a great Black Friday!

Also wanted to share about some wonderful Blog Candy:

Blessings

Happy Thanksgiving to you all!

I will keep this short and sweet with my entry for the LPS and SSIC challenges this week. This card is what I call a very simple card but packs a wonderful punch of a message. I am so thankful for so many things and try day to day to use those blessings in the best way as possible and so this card has such a true meaning.

I hope you have a Blessed day and get to reap the benefits of your blessings and share with others. God Bless.

Skating Fun

Oh I just know the cold weather and the snow are going to be coming soon! I can wait, as long as the good Lord wants to spare us the snow. But I had to pull out this little stamps, it has to be one of my most favorite ones from all my Magnolia's. I just love Edwin and Tilda together- so innocent.

I stamped this with Tuxedo Black Ink and then colored with coordinating colors to match the Basic Grey paper. The image is cut out with the nestabity and then I left it on and sponged inside the edges- I just like how it lightens the image up. The punch is a MS punch of a little village. The little paperclip I then strung a couple strings of beads off of it and tied a bow on it. I am honestly very thrilled with this card and told my husband it might never go in the mail. I used some glimmer mist on the red snowflake as well which you can't really tell. I am submitting this for the Friday Sketch Challenge.
I know that Tab has this image over at 7kids so if you like it- get it now. She is also doing orders for High Hopes which is another company that makes some really sweet images. You can check out the HH store and then order from TAB (quick and easy).
I hope you all have a wonderful day!

Home for the holidays GIFT

Is this the cutest little chipboard ever? Well not to brag on it but just the mere size of it makes it adorable. My husband took one look and said to me- uh, where are you going to buy a round notepad to fit this? Ha ha............ he has no idea. I thought it would be so sweet on a little stand and then a cute little picture on it for the holidays? Maybe a special friend will get this one. It is covered with Basic Grey paper, the little pointsettia are from Making Memories I believe, they are felt.
Have a great start to your week!

Brrrrr..............

Hello everyone, I hope that you all are having a wonderful weekend. I hosted a bazaar yesterday at church that went well, but boy was I beat. Wonderful crafters....... such talent out there!

So last night had to get to workin on a card. I used the Friday sketch challenge to make this card. The image is one of cuteness, and I am sure you can all tell it is a CC design (Nora) that Kelly over at KLSNS sent to me. . She is ready for the cold weather we are getting here I will tell you. I colored her with my copic markers, mounted her on Cosmo Cricket papers that are all layered with SU papers. The punches are our favorite, MS snowflake and icicle borders. I spritzed the snowflakes with glimmer mist as well so they coordinated with the paper.

I hope you find it warmer by you- otherwise just dress up like Nora! LOL. Have a great day!

Nothing but Trouble.........

I am so late today! I just got in early this morning from California- it was cool our there too! You all are lauging I am sure since I have not even posted in 3 days anyways- but I like my Friday posts up early! So this little cutie is a Shirley's 2 Girls image and I always laugh at this one. That darned cat, mine like to chew on the lights when they are on the floor- are they crazy or what? The image is colored with copic markers and then a little sparkle added with stickles. The little ornament is the Hero Arts set for Christmas

Sorry it is short but I gotta catch up.

Stamp; Bad or Good Cat,
Hero Arts Christmas
Coloring: Copic markers
Misc: embellishments in picture: MS branch, ornament punches.

The Savior is born

Ah- another holiday card that I did for a couple of challenges. First the sketch is one for the Verve November Challenge and then for the Stampin Sisters in Christ I had to make a card that had a shadow box. The Christ the Savior is actually set back and then the box around it is raised up. The Ribbon and the punch are from SU and I just find this card to be simple, old fashioned and refreshing I think.

Well I am off to California all............. I will be posting for sure on Friday but have to see what I come up with this evening to determine if I have anything else to post! Take care.

Angel Emma

Ooooooh, I got this in the mail this last week from Kelly at KLSStampinNScrappin! It is one of three Emma Angels that comes as a set! is she not the cutest angel you've seen (well except for your own of course). She definately has the Sugarplum face that we all just love. I colored her with my copic markers and layered her on some Basic Grey papers. The little angel charm is one that I got last year from a friend and thought it went perfectly. I hope you find her as fun as I have- and that these cards are giving you inspiration to work on your own Christmas cards.

Have a Blessed Day!

Joyful Snowman

Today's card is made without a challenge, I had to create it in my own mind. Imagine that! As soon as I saw this little snowman I knew I had to have him and was so glad when he arrived from Julie over at ABC Toys and Crafts. I colored him with my copic markers, all the DSP is from Stampin Up. I still just love that paper and wish I had lots more of it, the polka dots went so well with the snowman. I then wanted sparkly snowflakes so I punched them out and then 1. I spritz the first one with glimmer mist (candy apple) and the other one I used glue dots to attach all the sparkles. Added a few fir branches and done. Do you see my border punch again- so cute. And all those little ornaments lying on the ground are made when you use the punch, like instant confetti!

Don't forget: Julie is giving away some wonderful Candy over on the DT blog HERE! Plus use code GCD1009 and get 15% off your entire order!

I hope you all have a blessed day!

Happy Thursday!

Today's card is one that I created with my SU paper and Verve Cross for the Verve November Challenge. The sketch did give me a little bit of a hard time and I went ahead and added the ribbon because I thought it looked too plain without it. And yes, that is crackled glass, that was our twist this week. I had not done it in some time and it really does take a few extra steps to do it but I like the outcome.

Should you want to do the crackled glass effect I used SU glaze embossing powder (or a UTEE product) and the versamark pad. I stamped/colored my image- cut my paper to the size I wanted it. I used the versamark and stamped it on my image making sure to get it totally covered- dipped in the glaze and then heat embossed it until it was completely shiny. I repeated these steps over 4x; so the glaze is very thick. I put it in the freezer for about 3 minutes and then I just shifted the image a bit to crack the glaze.

Have a great day! Heidi

Whimsy

Good Evening............. thought I would go ahead and get this posted and then maybe it will give me the ooph to go and create......... been a little lazy.
Today's card is made for the Little Paper Shop Challenge, which was this sketch. I had the most trouble with this sketch- my circle barely shows, my rectangle is too big but then my diamond was not right- ugh......... is all that I can say! But I do like the colors- and the ornament sets/punch is so fun to use. So I hope you enjoy it.
You want to do a Blog hop- check out Lilly of the Valley

Believe in your Dreams...........

Good morning......... do you not just love these colors? This card is made for the Mojo Monday Challenge. I am just loving what Julee does with those wonderful sketches. And look at that embossing folder- Kelly just sent that to me from KLSNS and what a surprise at how much I just love the look.

Sorry today's post is so quick but I was up at 5:30 this morning (can you say CRAZY?) and so I am playing catch up. Have a great day!

Pointsettia Christmas

Brrrrr is it cold where you are? We got up on Friday to 25 degree! I am hoping today will be warmer..... I guess I am looking for a last "who Rah!"
So, today's card is made using the Hero Arts Poinsettia Circle. I saw this stamp and was not sure if I would use it and it is awesome. Think about how much you use your nestabilities........ well this is the ideal stamp to use with them. It fits perfectly and then you have a perfect background paper! I don't think that you can see it well but I added thick stickles to that one pointsettia and then stuck a brad in there.

Waitin on Santa

Good Morning!

Today's card I am showing you is for the KLSNS Snowflake Challenge as well as the Friday Sketcher Challenge. This image is a High Hopes image and I got it this last year and I just love it. I have 2 cats and I have on occasion found them in the tree peering out at me. I can't say they've hung on the branch like that but they are a little heavy for that. But lets say we do weight the tree down because of them.

I colored the image with my copic markers and then around the edges I just used a sponge to soften the stark white cardstock. I have gotten so I have been doing this alot and the air compressor works well for this too! I have also used the MS ornament punch and the branch punch on this card.

Just wanted to remind you that you can join the KLSNS Snowflake challenge and win a gift certificate and a stamp from Kelly so come on over and check it out. Plus you can use code NOV5 and get $5 off orders of $30 or more. And then of course, she is carrying the High Hopes now too.

I hope you all have a blessed Sunday!

What happened to my nose?

Hello again ladies! Is this little reindeer not the cutest? Do you notice anything wrong with him? I am laughing, but not enough to stop publishing............... I never colored his nose. Well I did color it while I was coloring him but I totally forgot to go back and darken it and just noticed it NOW! This is for the Little Paper Shoppe Challenge in which we had to use a digi image and a stamped image. I thought it made a cute whimsical christmas card- speaking of which- how are you all doing on making those? I have a ton of them made- probably more than I need so I think that I will package some up and give them away as prizes.

I hope you all have a great Saturday!

Christmas Critter

Happy Friday! I am off work today and I am actually running behind on my posting! Is that kind of funny? I typically load them the day before but figured since I was off I could do it this morning and here I am .............. LATE. But I am here, so I will share my creations. This first card just came together so easily and is definately one of those cards you can duplicate over and over. The stamp set is Christmas Critters by Penny Black and I just got it from Julie over at ABC Toys and Crafts. I colored that little critter with copics, the grosgrain is SU and then I used the snowflake cuttlebug folder to emboss the top layer. Do you see it? That wonderful border punch- that is the MS christmas ornament one. It is fabulous and it also makes confetti because all those little ornament punches are left over!

Glory and Wonder

Hello everyone and Happy Thursday! I have really been working on Christmas cards lately and here is another one I did for the Mojo Monday Challenge sketch. Julee always impresses me with her sketches and the fact that I can print them monthly and put them in my sketch book. I wanted to make this a soft holiday card with non-traditional colors and I think that I succeeded... what do you think?

Who Me?

I know, post number two for today- but I got busy the other night and had a couple extra I wanted to show you all. (chuckling) isn't he just cute? This little guy I made for the Etsy Inspired Challenge- this one is a first for me. They choose a etsy store and then you browse the store and choose anything in the store to make your project off of. I thought this little owl was adorable and so this is my take on him. The card itself is the inverted circle nesties and then I hand drew the little owl onto DSP. He is busy but I just love him.

Have a great evening!

God Will Find Me

Here today with another challenge, these are keeping me busy ladies! I find it amazing that some of my friends are doing like 10 challenges a week- that is alot of work I tell you. I try to do maybe 4-5 for inspiration and that keeps me on my toes. But I find them to really give me great ideas, challenge me and so if you don't do "sketches" or "challenges" give them a try!

This one is for the Stampin Sisters Challenge. We had to make a card that showed that God is with us all the time, even though we don't recognize him or acknowledge him. I know I have days that I don't seek him out- but I always know that he knows where I am and can find me, and tell me to get my act together.

Have a fabulous day!

Aww- Nuts!

Good Morning to you all! Today's card I made for the Friday Sketch Challenge Blog. When I first saw it I was overwhelmed with it, I actually thought I would skip it but when I pulled out this image and the DSP I thought it just might work. I am actually really liking the results. It is a 5 1/2 x 51/2 card though and I had stopped making so many of them due to my customers prefer to purchase the normal size card but he is a BIG elephant. This is a High Hopes image and the sentiments are also from HH. Tab over at 7kids has also started carrying a very large stock of high hopes and if she doesn't have one that you want- send her an email and she will look into it.

Take care and have a great day!
