It is a challenge that each week they post a challenge and you participate in it weekly- with the hopes that if you participate all month you have a chance to win stamps. I have thoroughly enjoyed this wonderful line of stamps from Julie and am loving the challenges. Plus, the Mojo Monday challenges are a blast as well- a little more detailed but definately makes you work your mojo!

You Rock!

Is this bling or what? I am entering this card in the Unity Bachelor Challenge. We had to bling up our card and use 1 piece of DSP and 2 buttons. So I chose to use the SU hostess DSP from last year and then I stamped/embossed the cycle (hawg you might say) in silver embossing powder. Then I took clear and light pink gems and chose to highlight some of the area. I also used some shimmer on my buttons.............. what do you think? Too much? I actually think it turned out pretty cool! Now to figure out the perfect biker gal to send it to!

Joyful Snowflakes

Happy Tuesday, sorry I missed posting yesterday. It was a crazy few days........... so this weekend I set to working on a few challenges as I feel like last week I didn't get as many done. This is one that I did for the Friday Sketch challenge. I used the new SU set and some "hoarded" wintergreen papers again. I love these colors! The snowflake punch is a Martha Stewart one- I have gotten so that I am so addicted to these wonderful things!

Ok, so this is a short post, I will plan on coming back again tomorrow with another post- it might be quick but I hope it will be worth it!

And here the lovely BEV is giving away a sweet prize! Let her know I sent you!

Holiday Extravaganza

Good day to you all! This last weekend I pulled out these new little Hero Arts stamps to give them a try and I had so much fun with them. They are really tiny but I think that they pack quite a punch for their size. (and shhhhhhhh they are easy to color!) This first set is a little Snowmand and then round ornaments. I used more of my SU papers (I am being so good). I colored them with my copics and then just layered them really. They didn't take any time at all. I used vellum square tags on both of them, tore it and then layered it over the red which I also tore. The ornament card, I used my MS Snowflake embossing border punch too! Now, they are 4x4 inch cards and I did this because I found ( yes, I did say found b/c they were buried in one of my drawers) a package of my 4x4 clear envelopes.

This next set is actually a book mark that I made for a package that will go out next month. This ornament card is very simple and I used the wintery village MS border punch on it. I am soooo loving these holiday punches!

I hope you enjoy them..... these little 4 pack of stamps (I didn't use the snowflake/trees yet) come together with some little gems like you can see on the top card. I got them from ABC Toys and Crafts. And don't forget you can still get 15% off your order with promotional code ABC15H.

Have a great weekend!

Blessings

I had to show this card and I hope you find it as beautiful as I do. I wanted to make a dramatic statement and when I got my Fleur De Lis cuttlebug folder I knew I wanted to use it. I embossed it on black and then I used my versamark and covered the entire thing with it- then used clear embossing powder. This made it look so shiny- just beautiful! So I then took and used the Cross and the Blessings sentiments from my Cross of Christ set (ODBD). Finished it off with some vintage Prima flowers and WOW.

Ok, only one more sneak peak from me over at 7kids. And later this week- I will show you what I did with this other cool diamond plate cuttlebug folder.

Ok- we are off on a road trip today- college campus tour here we come! (wha wha.....)

Then of course, who can forget Henry the Mouse from the Whiff of Joy release..... tell me, what is a woman to do with all these new releases? Ok, I won't temp you anymore...... that is not nice of me. Have a great day!

Quickie Cards

I just had to share these with you because I know I mentioned that I wanted to use my DSP AND make cards that were not really time consuming (which included coloring) and here are a couple more that I did for a variety of challenges that I joined.

AND I must tell you that I won at the VERVE release party on Friday night! I am so excited and have been making my list all weekend. They have some beautiful new sets and then of course their reliable sentiments- I am so excited!

Adventurous Edwin

Ok, Ok.......... it is like midnight and I just finished this card. I thought this Edwin on the bike was so natural, so all American and perfect for any little boy card. So I settled in to make this card, it is all American right? Red, white, blue and well- I guess a splash of green! Ok, I am not done there......... in my mind I envisioned Edwin in the bathing ring, so here is another take using this same stamp!
So I am kind of excited as I used two of the Magnolia stamps. I took the Edwin riding a bike and then of course the bathing ring and put them together. It is not perfect- but I will perfect it but I think that it turned out really cute. I was disappointed that they didn't make an edwin to go in the tube- so I had to make my own. I really wanted to show the versatility of some of these stamps because although Tilda is the sweetest, I have boys- so I am partial to Edwin.

So- not only can you get the Magnolia stamps at a discount at KLSNS but guess what else is new over there?

A wonderful Gift

Happy Saturday and it is a beautiful one here in Michigan- holding out a little longer. The leaves are just starting to turn and the weather is cooler, crisper already. But the sun is shining. But I will move on to today's card. I made this following the Friday Sketchers sketch for this week. My image is a High Hopes and did you know that you will be able to get these over at 7kidscollegefund? Tab is taking orders- as she is kindly focusing on what you, the customer, wants her to carry. So- if you love these cute little stamps and you can't get them from high hopes anymore- you will want to stop over at 7kids.

As you can see- I put a little pocket on the inside to hide a little prize and this is what the Cute Card Thursday challenge was- this will make a sweet little gift for a little boy!
Have a great day! Heidi

Shirleys2Girls

Stamps: Shirley's 2 Girls Bad Cat Good Cat
INK: Memento Tuxedo and Copics
DSP: SU
Misc: Nestabilities from ABC Toys and Crafts

Hello everyone- and welcome to a wonderful Friday- the weekend atlas! You all know I live for my weekends right?

Today's card is made with a cute little design from Shirley's 2 Girls that I got from ABC Toys and Crafts. I was amazed, as this is my very first stamp from this company, how thick and soft these stamps are. These things will hold up in anything! LOL. So I stamped the image in Memento Tuxedo Black and then I colored it with my copic markers. I then took and added rhinestones to the little ornament circles (can you see this?). It makes the card soooooo cute! All the DSP is from SU as I have vowed to use it and so you will be seeing more cards in the next few weeks with them. The oval is made with the nestabilities.

Challenge Yourself

Both of these cards today are made for the Verve September Challenges. This first one is a color challenge and I must say that I would not have chosen these colors BUT....... I love them now. They are all rich colors and really do fit well together! The image is SU Upsy Daisy which is truly one of my fav sets. I used the MS border punch floral lace on the one end and the nestabilities butterfly- is it not beautiful? The next card is a sketch challenge which I love- but I also vowed to start using my stack of SU DSP before I go and buy more. I am like many of you- love it, hoard it and then just keep buying more (sound familiar to you? ) Well come on- use it- it is beautiful and so I am challenging you all to pick a pack and start working on it.

I hope you enjoy these cards- I would like to add that I am amazed at how quickly I can make a card if I am not coloring the image! Phew........... I didn't realize how intense those magnolia cards are!

A time to Give Thanks

This sweet Tilda is preparing for fall and getting ready to give thanks. I had to ink her up because I had this beautiful fall/sunflower paper and I thought these colors are just exceptional. As far as a season of colors I truly just love fall especially here in Michigan. I colored Tilda with my copic markers. I then took my Martha Stewart branch punch and filled her hands with the 3D branches. I just love how it looks in person. Not sure if you can see all the branches in 3D or not. I have entered this for the Stamp Something Challenge using one of my fav embellishments and that is punch outs and ribbon.

I apologize for not posting on Monday and today being short but it is a busy week here and I am just trying to get by. Plus my hubby took the little dodad to upload my pics so I don't have any of my newest ones to upload- I will try to get it from him tonight!

NEW Magnolia Collection at KLSNS

Today is another wonderful Sunday............ and I am excited to show you all this fun little project that I spent a good part of Friday evening working on. I have been telling myself I need to make something "other than a card!" Of course there are wonderful ideas out there and so I chose this one to present today!
This little image is one from the new Magnolia line "A Little Yummy for your Tummy"called Baking Tilda. I am just loving her and my first project for this was this little accordian folder.
I know there are a few different tutorials on this and I got mine from Val's blog. I was thinking that this will make the sweetest little dessert or cookie file folder and a great little gift to maybe someone just starting out. Don't you think? One thing I will say is be sure your envelopes are NOT the privacy ones. I also decorated the end of my tab so I had it come through from the backside so that you can see it. I just like the look a little better.
For those of you that are bakers- this little Magnolia has to be a MUST in your collections. And you can find them now on pre-order over at KLSNS right now- where you always get 10% off on Magnolia's. Plus you can save $5 on all orders of $30 with code SAVE5.

Whiff of Peaches.........

I got this sweet stamp in the Whiff of Joy spring set that a dear friend of mine sent to me and I thought it would make a wonderful fall themed card. But I can tell you that 7kids also has a bunch of the WOJ holiday stamps to get you moving on those holiday cards too! I colored the image with my copic markers. The DSP is a pack of K&Co that I got that has tons of beautiful fall and halloween papers in it.

Off to do housework on this Saturday! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

BonJour

I am really excited to show you this card. I just got my first Crafty Secrets set from ABC Toys and Crafts and this is my first card that I made with it. I was a little intimidated by their sets but wanted to give it a try and I love how this card turned out. This set is called French Mail and has a variety of fun collage/travel/post stamps in it.

The DSP is Amy Butler Lotus and I must say it is so yummy. I mean I got to use grey paper on my card and it just all fit together well. I also used S.U. pretty in pink. So I am also going to submit this card for Dutch Challenge for the colors and the Tuesday Sketch Challenge as well- I loved this sketch!

Don't forget that ABC has tons of wonderful stamps: Craft Secrets, Hero Arts, along with the wonderful holiday punches from Martha Steward. And you can use the code ABC15H and get 15% off your entire order through the end of September.

You're Spooktacular

Today's card is in preparation for the Halloween holiday (for all you halloweeners out there!). I used the sketch from the Mojo Monday sketch challenge to make it. But I wanted to showcase the fabulous sizzix halloween Boo to You embossing folder- it is so darned cute! The punch is a Martha Stewart webb punch.
Here is another card that I made using the Boo to You folder and you can see much clearer- is it not adorable? There are a bunch of the limited edition folders over at 7kidscollegefund right now, stock up in preparation for the holidays!

Sail Away

My goal this week was to participate in the Friday Sketcher challenge but I also challenged myself to make a masculine card. You see all the feminine and sweet girlie cards and not alot of us are making the masculine- give it to your husband or dad kind of cards. So here is my take on it.

The image is a boat that I just got but it is an old PSX stamp that I stamped and cut with my nestabilities label 1. The paper- well it was in my scrap box and that is all I have.......... I have also been trying to reach into my scrap box as much as possible because it holds some beautiful paper and some of it is still 8x11! I hate having it all sit in there.

So that is it for another day- I appreciate you stopping in............ and of course comments are always welcome, tell me what you think? What you would like to see, or how you use your scraps up.

Best for You!

Well fall is certainly in the air here in Michigan even though we are having a wonderful holiday weekend (a last taste of summer, which isn't very long here anyways!). So I got this sweet little Jam Tilda from the fall kit from a friend of mine and I had to ink her up. I added a pumpkin to give it the warmth. As many of you know I am not a huge halloweener, even my kids could care less about it ............. so the sentiment is a little different because I really wanted to be able to 'use' this card (since I do not send out halloween cards). Anyways- the sentiment is from two different Stampin Up sets that I pieced together. But I think it will work. So I am entering this in the Stamp Something Challenge: had to use a favorite stamp and punch.....the punch is the Martha Stewart Drippy Goo and if you can't find it- you can get it here.

The new Magnolia collection is available for pre-order over at KLSNS.

Fairy Day

Okay, this week over at Papertake Challenge they asked that you use fairies or angels. Well I wanted to use an image that someone sent to me and this is it! I wanted to incorporate some shapes and textures (my own challenge) and this is how the card came out. I am pleased with it and I think that I know who will get this one! My cardstock and DSP is Stampin Up and then of course my nesties were used as well.
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend- it is a long holiday weekend here in the US and we'll be doing some fun family things!

Inka Dinka Turkey!!!

Oh my goodness, these are a couple new stamps that I got from ABC Toys and Crafts this week. I am obviously ramping up for the holidays and made these to have them on hand. The first one is Inkadinkadoo turkey and it is nice colored or left black. The punch is the Martha Stewart Floral Lace punch, which is great for these fall card.

This next card is a Happy Thanksgiving stamp from Inkadinkado and what a joy to color, very simple and easy to use. I colored the pumpkin and fruit with copics. The leaf is one I punched from chipboard and spritzed with Glimmer Mist.
Don't forget that if you use the promotional code ABC15H over at ABC Toys and Crafts this month you will get 15% off your entire purchase (regular prices): just register an account and you can use it more than once. Please share this code with your family and friends - I think that you will definately find what you need over there!

Bright Birthdays!

I wanted to try and use of my NEW and one of my USED stamp sets and then also use up some of my Stampin Up paper. So the card on my right is a take on the Mercy Challenge that I found last week. I love this because it truly is another simple and clean sketch and yet makes some cute Birthday cards don't you think? all my cardstock, DSP and stamps are SU.
Have a great day!

MOJO is going..........

This little sweetie will be entered in the MoJo Monday Challenge, I thought it was a interesting sketch and just had to try it out. I love this little Pixie Greta in the oval nestability and I didn't even think that she had to have a layer under her with the other papers I chose. The DSP came from a paperpack that I had which I believe was K&Co. The little paperclip which I love sending as gifts, is from making memories I do recall. I know this is a short and sweet update but busy week so this weeks will be short but I have alot to post this week- challenges are keeping me busy!

Friends

This card is one I worked on over the weekend for the Friday Sketchers Challenge. Claudia has put togther this beautiful sketch and I was really excited to work with it. The image is Tilda with her kitten and I used my neutral copics to get the job done. I was able to match most of them up with the Cosmo Cricket papers that I chose. I am bummed b/c I used my airbrush to highlight around Tilda but when I took the photo you can not see the color at ALL! I think that maybe I need to use a darker brown in the future. The circle around the friends sentiment is a circular plastic frame that I wrapped the ribbon around- so that it matched the ribbon on the card. The buttons I just got, are they not awesome colors? i was looking and needing fall colored buttons and this matches so well with my papers that I was so excited. So- here is my card to match this sketch......... so if you are lost for ideas- give this one a try this week!

I hope you all have a fabulous week and see you back here tomorrow! I have really been hopping on the challenges this week!
