Smiles are Welcomed

Happy Monday! We are showcasing Stampavie again this week, these sweet images are always fun to color. So I pulled out my copic markers and set to working on this card. I wanted it to be soft, subtle and pink of course! :)

To start I stamped my image with memento ink and then used copics (R22, R20, R00, G07,E25, E21). I then die cut it with Nestabilities Label One and then used the scallop circle for my sentiment. Added a few little adhesive pearls to give it a "dainty feel, just what every girl needs right?

Are you blue?

I know, can you believe that I have made a Sarah Kay card without any pink? This is Picnic of Daisies stamped with Memento tuxedo black on Neenah cardstock all of which you can find at 7kidscollegefund. I also colored them with my copic markers to match the SU blues and DSP. The ribbon is one I got from the dollar bin at Michael's some time ago and it is so soft and ties wonderfully. I then finished it off with some little half pearls and a daisy.

I know it is short but I am off today and just got myself organized to post. So keepin is short and sweet- plus it is tooooo hot! LOL!. Have a great Tuesday!

A Kiss

First I will tell you this may be a long post (hey, I have been saving up so don't laugh!). This little image is a Sarah Kay: A kiss for chloe. Now I will also tell you that there are a bunch of new Sarah Kay stamps Christmas for pre-order over at 7kidscollegefund right now, PLUS a couple other artist from Stampavie have new lines out that Kat is taking pre-orders on right now. I am so excited because they are so cute and a little different too!

This card I used Tuxedo black on Neenah carstock and colored with my copic markers. The DP is SU that came in the hostess pack. But I also used my new nestabilities (and have you seen all the newest CHA releases? Well Tab is showcasing them over on the 7kids blog and you are going to love them. I can't imagine what my WISH LIST is going to look like!

And of course, Tab has the new new summer Magnolia line as well and you just can't resist them! I just wish they had an edwin for in that innertube! Ok, that is it for now- talk to you later!

Gated Garden

Happy Day Ladies- well I am still on vacation, hope I am getting some sun, napping and just overall relaxing. Cross your fingers for me! This card I made for the StampSomethingChallenge that required the card to be Pink, Green and Yellow and I thought that these little Sarah Kay cards are always so sweet in those colors and then someone popped these two prints of paper in a package one time- I think it feels like a K&Co paper- so cute. I am also submitting for Roses on Paper Challenge too as they wanted a Gate Card with stitching- there you go!. What a perfect card for that opportunity. Is this little fence punch from MS just the perfect addition?

Of course I used Memento black on Neenah paper so that I could color her with my copics- just love the colors together. Notice how I didn't have a scallop nesties that fit the image so I cut one and pieces it so it can be seen on the top and the bottom and I thought it worked nicely!

Cherished Teddy

I must say that this has to be one of my most favorite Sara Kay images- My Sweet Lili. It reminds me of younger days and my favorite teddy bear. I just love her. This little notebook is one I got from the dollar bin at Michael's a long time ago and i thought it was time to get to using it. I covered the book with SU Pink Piroquette which I ran through the embosser (swiss dots and birds and swirls). The paper is Basic Gray Porcelain that I got from 7kidscollegefund. I didn't order this paper at first because it is so light but it truly is beautiful and especially for those vintage kind of projects. So I am thrilled that I had Tab send it to me. I finished off the embellishements with some grosgrain (SU) and then a little clip.

The tabs on the inside I made using the lace punch from SU and I made it so that there were 6 scallops, then folded it in half and attached as a tab. I had a friend (thank you cindy!) that sent me a beautiful box that she had these little dividers in and I loved the idea. Whomever I give this to can add their own tab words then.

That is it for today ladies! Don't forget your new Magnolia stamps!

Sweet Dominique

This sweet little card was made for one of my staff's daughter's birthday and I am so loving this card. She said her daughter liked red, green and oranges- not sure if she meant all of them together but I could not resist when I pulled out my paperpack and remembered this SU DP. I wanted the card to be girly with flowers b/c well, I have boys so I don't make them special order for many girls. She also asked for her name to be on it- so now I have to wait and see what her daughter thinks of the card.

The image is a Sarah Kay of course and colored with my copics. The little felt flowers are SU as is the striped grosgrain. I added a couple dew drops to give it a little dimension on the one side and ta-da! I do love this little sketch too and will be using it again.

Thanks for stopping in!

Sarah Kay stamps, copics, momento ink and dew drops can be purchased at 7kidscollegefund

You got Mail!

Happy tuesday ladies! I hope this is a good week for you all- we are having rain here in Michigan after a beautiful weekend- I think that I was hoping for more.

Anyways, my project today was to participate in a challenge and it is called Cute Card Thursday . I have been trying to participate in more of these as they have fabulous sketches and color challenges and I do well to have direction! LOL.

So the card is stamped on Neenah paper which I have found is absolutely the best paper to use for my copic, ink is Momento tuxedo black and then of course I used my copics to color her in. The paper came in one of my small DCWV paper stacks and I really wanted to stick with brown, orange and pink which is not usually a combo that I like but I do like how she turned out. (Ok, I am still laughing at myself ............ ) I added a prima and a few dew drops.

Sarah Kay stamps, Neenah Cardstock and Dew drops are all available at 7kidscollegefund store.

Delight in Life

Happy Wednesday all!

Today's card is made using one of the Sarah Kay images Picnic of Daises from 7kidscollegefund. The image is stamped with the Dew Drop Tuxedo black on Neenah cardstock which I love working with. It is honestly one of the best cardstocks to work with the copics, no bleeding and the images are so crisp. If you've not tried it- give it a try!

I colored my image with R32, R35, Y21,YR24, and G24. I am still trying to perfect that shadowing and hope it is actually getting better. The cardstock is from one of my old DCWV stacks, I feel like those stacks are never ending. I have been trying to share some of these with friends because I think that I really have way too much paper! Yikes! (Denise- have you used all of yours? ) The grosgrain is SU. Can you see my new fiskars punch? Oh it is too cute and fun to use. I got mine at Joann's. And then to finish it off- my K&Co charm that my dear friend Sue got me (thanks Sue- I told you I would use it!).

Have a great day!

Sweetness..............

I know Valentine's Day is over but I could not go without posting this card that I made. I can honestly tell you that no one received this card because I made it just before going on vacation and I didn't have time to sell it. My boys would not appreciate a card like this. But then I got to thinking, it would not have to be for Valentine's Day only! So- I will still try and sell it.

This little Sarah Kay image, My Sweet Lili is just too darned cute, I colored her with my copics (just so yummy!). The paper is of course Basic Grey new line Bitter Sweet! I just had to use some of this paper because it is delicious. I used a couple of the SU ribbons, one is the rose grograin and the brown is one from their specialty packs but I think it was from last year or so because once again I was hoarding it girls! LOL. I used a pop dot to lift of Lili so she was a little off the page!

I hope you like her as much as I do!

Thanks.......

Happy Saturday (well almost Sunday!) I hope you are all getting your holiday preparations done. Today we ran a couple of errands and YIKES...... there were alot of people out there! LOTS of people. Anyways- I was looking for a thank you card the other day and low and behold I realized I am running low on them. So, I pulled out this image/paper and decided to make one that I can use post the holidays- for a special person that may have given me something. This is a Sarah kay image and although she is springy I had to use her- I kind of missed the images since I have focused so much on the winter/christmas photos. Anyways, the paper is Basic Grey and I used a little SU Wasabi paper to matte and add some embellishments. You can not tell much but the DP behind the images is on a diagonal and I wanted to try this since I don't do it much and some of the other ladies do and I love it. Mine not so much...... but the paper is awesome so it makes up for it.
Have a FAB day and fun preparing!

I promised to be back today! Here I am but for some reason I don't have a whole lot of "talk" in me. I am whipped for some reason and not sure why! My hubby will be glad cause when he gets home I won't bombard him with talk! LOL!
I thought I would give Stampavie Challenge a try over at Paper Craft Planet and this is my take. This is a Sarah Kay image that someone sent to me and I used my neutral/brown copics to color her as I wanted to layer her on this K&Co paper. I used mellow moss paper, layered the image on SU camel paper. I then used chocolate satin ribbon.
Hope you like her!

Together

This is alittle Sarah Kay card that I made last month and never got posted for you all. I colored her with my copics and I am pleased with how it came out. I think that I was going with the neutral colors when I started working on this. I love the flowers even though they are fallish, the papers are from a DCWV paper stack I do believe. I used my sizzix to punch out the flower behind the prima. The ribbon is celery from SU. The only thing that I am not crazy about is faux stitching..... I have never done this well. I popped the saying up so that it would give some dimension to the card.
Now- don't forget about my blog candy in my post from the other day, I know it is not alot but the images will be worth it. Good Luck!

Growing Friendship

I am getting ready to go on vacation but thought I would give myself a challenge and make a couple cards this week. So this one is one for the Friday Sketcher Challenge and although I am late I am going to post it anyways. This is a Hanglar stamp that my friend Karin sent to me, some K&Co paper layered on chocolate SU cardstock. I colored her with my copics- used some orange ribbon and the eyelet brads. One thing about those brads, I have a couple packages and I rarely use then and yet they are so cute! My with love is handwritten which I do like to do but is what I wanted.

Now this second card is one I made for the Spoonful of Sugar challenge using one of the sweetest stamps. This reminds me of when I was little and I always wanted to take my cats for a ride on my bike. You might recognize the colors from a card I made a couple weeks ago- I really wanted to use this paper up because I really liked it. The flowers I made with my sizzlit in my sizzix-

Tomorrow I am off on vacation ladies, I will not be around a computer and therefore I will not be back online to post again until at least 8/31. I hope you all enjoy your week (I am pretty sure I will) and look forward to posting in a week or so. I am coming upon 11,000 hits and since I didn't do a 10,000 candy I will do one when I return.

A little less skin?

Here is another little Sarah Kay image that I got and I was set to do the Friday Sketch Challenge and I had the challenge sketched on a paper piece and did the card and then went "oops!" - I didn't tear and put the image inside the window. Otherwise it is the same sketch. I love this card, I got the papers from a blog candy win- it is PaperPazazz and I just love the paper with the little girl. So, you mom's will get a kick out of this, remember I have boys- so I take it to show to my hubby, which I do on occassion if I am really happy with the outcome to see what he thinks. The first thing he says to me is, "Shouldn't she have a little less skin? Can't you color her shirt a little lower or something" Oh, I was laughing so hard, I can just see me trying to put MORE clothes on Sarah and I am sure her designer would be oh so thrilled! The flowers I also got with my blog candy and it matches so well with all the goodies I got. I took 3 of them and layered them to give me so me more depth and then I also popped the image up along with the flower. Put a missing you tag on it and done. Notice that I put the piece of paper under the image diagonal and that is because I have seen several of the ladies doing this and I really like the contrast I get. I feel like I do a lot of squares and everything symetrical so I wanted to change that up some. That is it for the evening.

Spoonful of Sugar

Is this little girl the sweetest? I love these Sarah Kay images and one of my new friends, a dynamically creative lady Suzanne sent me some of these images. I was so afraid to even use one for fear of just ruining it. But I thought, well whatcha gonna do with them then. So, this is my take on this one. This weeks challenge was to recycle, well I am not sure how I could do that but almost all the papers here are from my scrap box, the flower..... that is a whole story in its own but the brown one was in the garbage (talk about recycling!).

Paper: DCWV paper stack, SU apricot appeal, real rust, wasabi.
Accessories: SU celery grosgrain, prima flower.
Sentiment: computer generated ( I made it up)

That is it for this Thursday evening, I am so thrilled that tomorrow is Friday. It has been another long work week for me so I am anticipating some relaxation (dreaming is more like it) and then some family fun. I have a couple more projects and if I get a chance I will load them for you later this weekend.

Tata for now!
