KLSNS SPARKLE BLOG HOP IS HERE!

You should have arrived from Kristine's Blog and if not you will want to start at the KLSNS DT blog so that you get all the words to complete the SPARKLY phrase at the end to be entered in the drawing to win the GRAND PRIZE!

So my sparkly project for you all today is a "Pamper Yourself" project that you could make for a special friend. This is a drink tote that I had my hubby paint pink (of course!) and then I used my sweet little PIXIE girls to decorate it. I used my copics to color them and then cut them out. I also added a bunch of glitter/bling to their dresses, their wings, and to the sunshine of course. Click on the picture to get the real effect as it took me 2 days to photo these and the lighting would not cooperate.

We would love for you to join us and make your own Sparkly creation- if you post it on your blog with a link to the KLSNS design team blog and we'll enter you again. Plus, who knows what Kelly has up her sleeve, she could be giving away some other surprise "blog candies" so be sure to leave some luv everywhere! (wink!)

So lets get on with the blog hop, my word for you is GIRLS so make your way over to Sparkle's Blog.
Reminder: you must leave a comment on the DT blog and all DT member blogs to be eligible for the GRAND SPARKLY prize along with sending the correct phrase to steinrn@yahoo.com with the KLSNS SPARKLES in the subject by 9pm Saturday August 8th..

Have a Sparkly Day!

Its been a long time.......... friend

Oh my I just finally got my Magnolia Lion from 7kidscollegefund and is he not the sweetest, that face makes me just want to rough him up. I went so far as to tell my husband I want a lion to keep and then once a week we could give him a little "groggy" pill so I can go in and play with him, snuggly and of course take pictures. Hubby thought that would be a little far fetched and might actually be exploiting the poor guy! Ha! We really do talk about other things........ it was a silly moment I guess.

So the image is stamped on Neenah paper with memento tuxedo black ink- which if I have said it once you MUST try it. I then colored with my copics. Oh and the little jungle sign is also a Magnolia and you could put little words on it as well- I opted to leave it blank this time. The little stems are made with the MS punch.

And don't forget if you order this week at 7kids you are automatically entered in a drawing for gift certificate. Check out the blog and see if you win!

I hope you all have a wonderful day!

Notepad holder

I just had to post a quick note today as I made this little post it note holder. The image is a Greeting Farms image that a friend sent to me and I wanted to make a little prize to mail off to another friend. The paper is some that someone sent me so I am not even sure who makes it- but the SU cardstock is bashful blue and guava. This is adhere to a square coaster and then if you open it there is a sticky notepad attached to another coaster- with the little jump ring holding it all together. I hope that my friend enjoys it!

Summertime Girls

Ah.............. it is summer time ladies! Time to get out there and show off your goods (legs, arms, etc..... !) Are these little gals not the cutest? I made these for some sweet little girls and hope they liked them! Actually I left these along with the little lipgloss holders I showed you all a couple weeks ago for the 3 girls that live at the cottage that we stayed at: just a little treat for them when they came home!

This is Sugarplums Waving Emma that I got from KLSNS and I am just loving these sweet little images, they are very crisp and so easy to color. I seriously took no more than 5min to color each one. The little acrylic boxes I got at Mike's about 6 months ago on clearance, I think they were like $20 and I got them for $5 and there are like 18 or so of them. That is alot of skittles I tell ya! The sweet as can be sentiment is from a CC designs set.

So go on- show off that summertime!

Summer Butterfly

Today's card is made using one of my Edwin stamps BUT it is also showcasing one of my new Penny black clear stamps called Enjoy Life. I got this at ABC Toys and Crafts because I thought it would go wonderfully with many of the Magnolia stamps- so ladies, this is another brand that goes well with them. Julie also has a couple other sets Thinking of You and Teddy & Co (the tree is perfect!).

I stamped the image with Tuxedo black on Neenah cardstock and then of course colored him with my copics. The swirl is chipboard that I used a stamp pad to color. The little acrylic tag I got from a show I went to last year and I just stamped Be Happy on it with stazon.

Oh OH- ABC Toys and Crafts has a BUNCH of new Martha Stewart punches.......... you better get them fast b/c they always sell out so fast- Julie has been very busy filling orders!

My Strength

This card is made with one of my (well it is not really mine- they are my MIL stamps) Unity stamps. I just love this verse and pulled out a bunch of scraps from my scrap box and WOW- I am stunned at how pretty it turned out. Well, I hope you find it to be as pretty and inspirational as I do. Now to figure out who to send it to! (mom- a little package of cards is coming your way already!).

Not a long post but lots of posts this week I tell you! I got a bunch of things in done while on vacation: sat and colored for a few days............ so all I had to do was put things together. It was pretty cool, probably more organized than when I am NOT on vacation. well take care........

You IN me..........

Ok, I pulled out my gorjuss girls since i had not used them too much since I got them. Sometimes you just need to reorganize to see what you have and start from scratch. I love the colors in this card and I love that it is a standard size card. I have been making alot of the larger cards with the SK and magnolia images and then they sit in a box b/c I am too lazy to take them to the PO to mail them. Are you like that? So it was nice to make a regular size card. I hope you enjoy her........................

A Kiss

First I will tell you this may be a long post (hey, I have been saving up so don't laugh!). This little image is a Sarah Kay: A kiss for chloe. Now I will also tell you that there are a bunch of new Sarah Kay stamps Christmas for pre-order over at 7kidscollegefund right now, PLUS a couple other artist from Stampavie have new lines out that Kat is taking pre-orders on right now. I am so excited because they are so cute and a little different too!

This card I used Tuxedo black on Neenah carstock and colored with my copic markers. The DP is SU that came in the hostess pack. But I also used my new nestabilities (and have you seen all the newest CHA releases? Well Tab is showcasing them over on the 7kids blog and you are going to love them. I can't imagine what my WISH LIST is going to look like!

And of course, Tab has the new new summer Magnolia line as well and you just can't resist them! I just wish they had an edwin for in that innertube! Ok, that is it for now- talk to you later!

Mousey Smiles

I can't help but giggle when I see this little card, that little mouse is just too cute and is having such a grande time too! He is an image from the Penny Black set bubbly. I stamped him and colored him with copics and honestly took me all of a couple minutes. I think it took me more time to sort out the copics to find the ones I wanted. I really need to get a better filing system for them. But either way- thank you to Julie over at ABC Toys and Crafts for sending me this set, I am not a huge clear stamp person but these Penny Blacks are awesome and stamp nice and clear for me.

Ok, before I go I have to tell you that Julie has some of the new Martha Stewart Punches in- take a look at this one for halloween Graveyard or what about Icicles! Oh and there is a sale too- 10% off until July 31st- with great shipping charges. Julie has also implemented a Customer of the week program where if you use product from her store and link it she will put you on her blog- check it out.

Ok, sorry this is so short (if you call that short!) but I am still trying to catch up from being on vacation last week! Take care and catch you later!

Greta Cares

Happy Sunday!
We should be getting home from vacation but I wanted to post so that it was done and I didn't have to worry about it. So Kelly sent me this sweet little CC designs Greta and is she not the sweetest (but what is it without any mouths these days?) I just love her and challenged myself again to choose a color (other than pink) that was something I do not use alot of. So I chose the neutral tones.

I stamped her in Memento tuxedo black and colored her with the copic markers that you can order from KLSNS now! I then used my nestabilities Label One and cut her out and pop her up. The DP is a Basic Grey line but it is an older line and I honestly do not know which line it is from anymore as I don't have the little book it was in. I added a couple dew drops and some prima flowers and I thought it finished it off quite nicely. The edge is done with the SU border punch as well.

Puppy Wishes

Hello all! still on vacation here but thought I would show off this cute little puppy from ABC Toys and Crafts. It is a Penny Black Bubble stamp and it is really a lot of fun to use- I think that he'll be quite versatile as well. I used my nestabilities Label One to matte him on- the DP is a piece i had left from a project in the past.

I hope you will stop over at ABC Toys and Crafts as Julie is fabulous and the store is growing and growing. Plus she has the sweetest stamps: My Cute Stamps and then the very vintage stamps Crafty Secrets- these are so sweet! If you want to check out the gals work- check out the DT blog and keep an eye on it- we have some fun stuff coming and of course, prizes!

Have a great weekend!

Double the Fun!

This is a little card that I did for the SCS use it up challange and they wanted you to design a Christmas card. I thought it would be fun to give it a try when it was sweltering out! LOL, I guess it worked. I also used the sketch from Friday Sketchers challenge since I had not participated in some time. I can't understand why I can't put 2 and 2 together and always incorporate a challenge (color or sketch) when I am designing- I have friends that do it like that every day! ugh........ must not be how my brain works.

You need some RAM stamps- check what Kelly has over at KLSNS: she has a special that if you purchase $50 you get $10 off- use July50 code. So that is $50 for only $40!

Ok, off I go now- take care and catch you later!

Stationary Gift

I just wanted to share this stationary set that I made using some templates from InkingIdaho. She has fabulous templates and I always find much inspiration and good ideas from her. This is made all with SU product as I had a class on this during the retirement party this year. The ladies had a great time and I think they enjoyed it thoroughly! Here is a better pictures of the cards that go inside the pocket.
You open up the little handles and inside is a pocket for the envelopes and a writing pad.

Gated Garden

Happy Day Ladies- well I am still on vacation, hope I am getting some sun, napping and just overall relaxing. Cross your fingers for me! This card I made for the StampSomethingChallenge that required the card to be Pink, Green and Yellow and I thought that these little Sarah Kay cards are always so sweet in those colors and then someone popped these two prints of paper in a package one time- I think it feels like a K&Co paper- so cute. I am also submitting for Roses on Paper Challenge too as they wanted a Gate Card with stitching- there you go!. What a perfect card for that opportunity. Is this little fence punch from MS just the perfect addition?

Of course I used Memento black on Neenah paper so that I could color her with my copics- just love the colors together. Notice how I didn't have a scallop nesties that fit the image so I cut one and pieces it so it can be seen on the top and the bottom and I thought it worked nicely!

Beauty in Pink

Ok, I got my new Nestabilities pendent package the day I am leaving for vacation- what is a girl to do? Well of course, one with priorities would get to work on something creative, so that is what I did! I love these litte yummies that I already got from 7kids! I can't believe it- not alot of people have them yet and she got them in and out already- thanks Tab: you are a gem!

The paper is the new Basic Grey Lemonade paper pad and it is also so yummy, the pinks and greens and the prints are just so lemonade'. LOL, if that is a word, but it is kind of like when Bittersweet came out it just makes your mouth water.

So anyways- the Renaissance Heart pendents are so easy and they pop right out without any issues. I have always used my nesties in my cuttlebug but gave the big shot a try and they worked like a dream! I embossed them and everything. The cardstock base is pretty in pink and then the base of the pendent is pink piroquette. I added a little stickles to the hearts but you can't see em well can you? Of course I had to finish it off with a heart. I was going to add a sentiment but I just thought it was too pretty and I can always add whatever I want to it later.

So? What are you waiting for- you want these now- stop over at 7kids and see what Tab still has. Tata for now!

Smooches!

I am really struggling with my camera this week.......... just can't get it to give me a good quality photo today and unfortunately I need to get these posted so I apologize up front but I do think that you can get a good idea of what they are looking like. I think they are so cute. First the little holder is 5 1/2 x 4 1/4: scored at 2.5 and then 3 inches. The front is embossed with the cuttlebug folders of course- I only did the front portion of the folder to make them pop!

I stamped the Magnolia with Ladybug images and colored them with the copics- then just used a portion of the image to mount on the front. These are going to some special little girls- to not be named in case their mother is looking! They hold a little lipgloss as you can see down below.

Hope you all have a fabulous Sunday!
Stamp: Tilda with ladybug @ KLSNS
Copics, cuttlebug folders ( paisley, swiss dots, hearts)

Thank You

This card I made for the Cute Card Thursday challenge, it was to make a thank you card for a teacher or someone that has made an impact in your or your child's life. So, this is my take for this weeks challenge. The base of this card is Kiwi Kiss and then I took some Basic Grey pieces that someone had sent to me and mixed and matched. The sketch is one that I found in my sketch book and thought it was simple enough that I could make it while still being able to pack for vacation! LOL! (priorities I might add!). The ribbon is this beautiful gold color and I got it from the $1 bin at Michael's some time ago! I love how it ties and it is very rich looking. The flower I cut with my cuttlebug die and then added the greens with the MS branch punch! The sentiment is SU.

That is it for you all. I hope you like it!

Cupcake Birthday

Is this little cupcake cute or what? I used Basic Grey Bittersweet to make the cupcake which is made with the Sizzix Sizzlet Cupcake that I got from ABC Toys and Crafts. As soon as I saw it I knew exactly what I was going to do with it- it is yummy enough to eat I think! I just think that if I got this card in the mail it would be special because it is 3D and it has a little cute cupcake tack too! I added a little stickles onto the cupcake and also the pink background to give it a little bling! I hope you all have a fabulous weekend!

Walk by Faith

Just a quick post today because I made this card and I just love this new set from Unity called Something Within! It is absolutely beautiful and this is just one of the sentiments- is it not fun? The card looks plain and it is but it is so pretty IRL. The DP is one of the SU patterned paper packs! I hope you all have a wonderful week!

Summer Show!

I know this is not craft related but working in the yard the last couple weeks I took some snapshots of my clematis and I just could not help but show it to you. This plant extends above the porch and touches the roof. Now I am not a green thumb but this is truly my show- BUT, I hope some of you ladies are green thumbs and can give me some pointers. The "inside" of this plant is dead because last year we had a big wind and it ripped the plant off the trellis, hence it is all brown and I am thinking I need to cut this back and start fresh. Can I do this? Will it come back because that is my ultimate goal. Hope you enjoyed the colorful display!

Bling and Glitter

This card in person has lots of shimmer and bling! This is a Magnolia Tilda card and it is an image that was out last summer I beleive and this little gal is too cute- the perfect pose for waiting for somthing or thinking of something- hence the sentiment "Just sitting her thinking of you"

I stamped Tilda and the fence with memento tuxedo and then colored her in with my copic reds, browns and greens. For her wings- as you can see here I added some beautiful stickles to make them shimmer and that they do!

The flowers are light pink prima's that I then took some Shimmerz and put on them to give them some sparkle and they look awesome! Of course I finished off the bottom with a cute little heart punch (and here I thought I could only use it at Valentine's Day!).
Stamps: Magnolia @ 7kidscollegefund
Accessories: Primas, Shimmerz, stickles and Martha Stewart Punchs
Colors: Memento ink, copics @ 7kids

Dear Friend

Happy 4th of July Weekend dear friend!

Today's card is made with a Magnolia stamp that Kelly sent me from KLSNS but you know, I have no idea what her name is! Kelly does not have her in the store now but she does have the new Magnolia PET collection on pre-order so don't forget to get yours ordered today! As always she has them on sale. I colored her with all my brand new brown copic markers because I feel like those E colors are the most I have and so i wanted to give em all a try. I think that I used at least 7 of them! The designer paper is Basic Grey Porcelain! I used some bare chipboard swirls and I sprayed them with Glimmer Mist- I am soooooo loving using that!

Well off for some more yard work! I know it is the holiday but it still has to be done............ whats a girl to do, stamp all the time??? Wanted to remind you of some specials and "upcomings" over at KLStampinNScrapping:

Basic Grey June Bug and Lemonade paper and accessories
Copic Sketch Markers
Inkadinkadoo Kids Quotes
Magnolia Pet Collection
Retired Rachelle Ann Miller stamps $2 off!

Altered Pocket Album

Ok, ok, quick post for today. This is a little pocket album card. I had made one of these for my mother's 61st birthday when we had a party for her and then I had sent out ahead of time with the invites little pieces of cardstock and asked people to write a little note to my mother or send photos that I could include in the album. It was a lot of fun so I made this one for my aunt in case she wanted to do something similar for her friends that have been married for 50 years. The paper is some paper someone sent 1/2 sheets of to me and I was able to coordinate enough of them to put it together for a vintage look. I am please with the way it turned out and it is fairly simple to make. Here is a picture of the inside when you open the card/album. Each of those are pockets so she can attach pictures on the top and the bottom and then slide things into the pockets. I also made some really cute embellishments but I did that last minute before I left so I never got a picture o them on it. But it really finished it off.

New Nestabilities Pendants and Borders

IF you have been drolling over the new Spellbinder Nestabilities well I might suggest you take a look at 7kidscollegefund! Tab's order was suppose to ship today (not in august like they suggested) and so she is expecting them in the store next week! Can you believe that? You can have them in your hands in less than 2 weeks. I already ordered mine, what are you waiting for?
