ABC Toys & Crafts is BACK!!!

Hello everyone! I have been on a little hiatus from ABC Toys & Crafts, generously given by Julie so we could all enjoy the holidays! During that time, Julie also had a DT call and has invited some fun and creative gals to join us over the next few months! I am looking forward to getting started and our first theme is BE MY VALENTINE! How fun is that?

So I had to think of something a little more than a card and I came across a variety of things on Pinterest that sparked my imagination and chose to go with this little Valentine Envelope Accordian.

This is what it looks like from the side- I made little accordian folds along the bottom and then attached each of the little coin envelopes to a fold. This allows some room

to embellish and if you wanted to put little tags inside each of them or even a gift card.

Here is a photo of one of the little envelopes on the inside, this is the 2nd one. I would love to show them all but blogger is making it most unsuccessful- it just won't let me add the photos and move them around this evening so maybe I will post another post with more of the photos.

Hello everyone! We are heading into a new week and today I was able to get some crafting done in order to fulfill some design team work and participate in some challenges. I have found that I really enjoy the sketches over at Skipping Stones and so this card is one that I made. Later this week I HAVE to show you my craft table- I can't imagine how I can function in there but there is ALOT of pink on it. I just love it. So stop on back later for just pink love and in the meantime, have a great time.

PS; the paper is a sweet little MS paper pad I just bought... so cute and I will be using it for another project over the next week.

Hearts Galore!

Well here I am again, back with another Valentine's Day card! Have you started making yours? I have made more than I need believe me, but I am enjoying making them. It seems like I lost my mojo for a bit but once I pulled out all the pinks and red....... it all came back!

CC Challenge 2012 #2

Ah- well I got card #2 done this week as well. I was feeling a little guilty and "behind" so many of the other ladies as I had not even started any of my 2012 Christmas Cards. So I went to my trusty MoJo Monday Challenge sketch and got to work. I also had the holiday papers out and if you notice today's card has the same papers as card #1- waste not want not, right? I hate to leave all those little scraps. Ok, ok....... now I can focus on Valentine cards for a bit (till I have to make 2 more Christmas cards in February).

Special Valentine

Happy Friday! Oh yes, I am thrilled for the weekend, well I will be after a full day of work and a long drive home. But either way- looking forward to it.

This little "package" was made to hold a little stamp for a friend- I wanted to package the stamp a little special for her. The heart which unfortunately no matter how I took the picture did not come out the way I wanted is actually 3 hearts punched, folded and then glued together for a 3D heart. I just love them. Anyways, have a great weekend!

CC Challenge 2012

Hello- No you are not seeing things! I know I told you all that I was tired of the christmas cards and was moving on to the Valentine cards. Well I happened upon a challenge over on SCS where you committ to making a specific number of cards monthly in preparation for Christmas 2012. As I recall I was making last minute cards well into December this last year and don't want to do it again.

So I chose this sketch from Skipping Stones this week and made card #1 for this next year! If you fancy joining us- just leave me a comment and I will give you the link.

Pixie Cottage Wednesday!

Today over at Pixie Cottage there is a sketch challenge as well as a technique: sewing. Now I am fighting with my sewing machine so I stuck to the sketch alone. I also chose one of the new faith sentiments without an image to make an elegant wedding card. The base is a brushed silver and the heart is embossed with silver. Pixie Cottage Wednesday!

Hello and Happy Wednesday! Glad you stopped by for the Pixie Cottage Challenge this week. We are doing a monochromatic theme this week- you should come and join us! I went with pink since as I have mentioned I am ready to move on to Valentine's. This image is Stealing Hearts, a Pixie Cottage Design which I colored with my copics- something that I have not done in a long time. It was alot of fun too!

Scrapping Cottage Challenge.......

Hello- are you all ready for some Valentine's Day Cards? Well I for one am ready to be done with Christmas cards, although I do like to stick to the reds and pinks of course. So you will be seeing these over the next few weeks. The paper here is Echo Park and the beautiful heart is from Scrapping Cottage and I will enter it in their challenge- to cover their dies with 3D embellishments (see my sweet pink heart rhinestones?) I know they were very hard to actually catch on film. This card is so pretty though- hope it inspires you. Have a great day.
