Just a Little Time

Hello!   I know, right?  It seems like it has been forever since I posted last!

So this evening I got a few minutes to do some crafting which quite honestly I have not done in a couple of weeks.  I wanted to participate in a couple of challenges and so I chose the CropStop and Waltzingmouse challenges.  

The papers I used on this card is from K&Co, I almost got rid of this paper pack but just couldn't do it because it was blue and so vintage.  Now I have got to remember to use it!  The stamps are Waltzingmouse.

Father's Day

Hello my friends!   We are winding down the week- yahoo, you know what that means right?  Its almost the weekend!  You know I live for them!  

Today I just wanted to show you a Father's Day card I made and the boys used it this last weekend for my hubby.  We went out to dinner with the family and hung out for the day.  It was fun, the weather was fabulous!   It is a quick post but I have a lot of appointments and things schedule so hoping to spend a little more time next week.

Two Splashes!!

Good Morning my fellow crafters!  

Today's cards are a couple that I made a few weeks ago and I was kind of in a funky splashy mood.  Can you tell?  LOL.  Quite honestly I didn't know where I was going with these but I have been enjoying covering chipboard with paper and then sanding and inking it.  So I had this little pile of chipboard that was beautiful- so what is a girl to do with it?  I pulled out one of my SU sets (for youth's) looking for that right splash/grunge effect and wha-la!   You could easily do this in any color and it would be a nice birthday card for a kid, at least I  think.  Minus the gems and pearls for the guys out there!

I so appreciate your comments- WOW I had 14 in one day for my simple little Waltzingmouse card- it just made my day!

Waltzingmouse Challenge

This week I am truly going to try to catch up on some challenges.  I was finally able to find some time to craft last night- it has been over 2 weeks since I have actually crafted anything.  I miss it soooooooooooo much!

This card is one that I made for Waltzingmouse Challenge.  I wanted to keep the card simple without alot of layers and so I do actually love the look. The colors- orange and blue are so summery together I think!

I can not believe I have not posted in over a week- where did the time go?  I have had "real life" things that have taken up my time so I have not even crafted in all this time!   Hoping this week one evening I can sit down and do something.  


In the meantime, this is a card that I made a month or so ago and I had not had a chance to post it yet.  I love the red and black color combination for this thank you card: and that cute little birdie!  I did some "blocking" for the DSP which I find I always like these cards even though they take a little more time matching up the pieces.  


Anyways- I hope that you all have a wonderful week and I am hoping to be back with some new creations.

Celebrate Dad!

Hello and Happy Friday!  

I can't believe I already got some time to craft this evening, yep and it is only 7pm!  Well it is because I know I will be out most of the day and wanted to work on a couple challenges.  

I had this card envisioned in my head and really tried to get as close to it as I could and it turned out alright but not quite what envisioned.  I used a variety of transportation stamps and grunged it up to make it as vintage as I possibly could.  I tore, distressed, scraped, inked, embossed- you name it!  It is actually the first Father's Day card of the year for me.
