Thanks you Daisy

Today's card is one that I did the other night to make with some friends/family. The DSP and cardstock are all SU, as are all the punches now that I am looking at it again. I find this DSP to be dripping with yumminess.......... LOL, is that even possible? Oh well, I love it, it is glittery too! So you can imagine my dismay when I have to actually use it, cut it and glue it onto this card! But I did it and I think that the card is cute. The daisies i stamped and then used my versa pen and heat embossed it to give it texture.

So that is it for me ladies- I hope you all have a wonderful day!

Smell the flowers......... no, Touch the Flowers!

Get it? Take time to smell the flowers......... but these you should probably touch them. This card is one that I did the other night for the HH challenge. They wanted us to make a touchy feely card. The first thing I thought of is all those bottle of flocking that I have and might I add, not used very well. So I colored up this cute and simple little flower stamp and added lots of flocks to it. So smelling it might make you sneeze- just touch it. I am disappointed in the photos, the colors really do go well together but in the picture they seem a little off. Have a great day!

Winter Wonderland

What do you think? Is it not a winter wonderland? well actually it is not! It has been snowing all day and we have gotten at least 3-4 more inches since this was taken. If I took a picture now I am not sure if you could see the huge flakes that are coming down but they are big ones. I have to go out in that stuff too! Yikes...............
And here is a picture of our table on the back porch! Amazing- that was about 6hr ago though, it will be bigger next time.

Whats on your Desk Wednesday!

Yes I am back today with another episode of What is on your Desk? Ha- I am enjoying looking at what others are working on, you know we all post what we do but what about when we are doing it. So today or shall I say this morning I went to my craft room and saw all this stuff and thought- oh good it is Wednesday. Remember I don't usually leave my work area like this- I like to come into a clean area but on Monday I didn't clean up as I had to go and watch one of my shows. So- wha-la! I am working on an altered book- you can just see the black chipboard book and I got it at Archivers clearance about 2 months ago for like $1! This is actually the 2nd one I am working on- I also have one smaller that I am working on as a special gift and when it is done I will show you all. So, there you go, the papers, the tools, the hardward and I can't wait to use those Tim Holtz plates! What is on your work desk- come join us over on Julia's blog!

Birthday Yummy!

I am getting a late start today but still wanted to post a little something for you. This is another image that a friend sent to me. I think that she is a sweet little girl with a little birthday treat that anyone would love. I didn't add a sentiment but on the inside I am still going to "doctor" it up and add something special. I actually did this card for the LOTV Challenge. Is that little cupcake punch not the cutest? I actually took and colored the tops of the cupcakes with brown and then I used versamark and heat embossed them so they are a little shiny. So tasty!

I hope you are all staying warm! See you tomorrow!

So many Thanks!

Happy SNOWY Monday- we have gotten that snow they were talking about all weekend (you never know if you will get it or not!). But yep I think that we easily have 6 inches already this morning. No School! Today's card is a hanglar image that I got from a friend. I found the papermakeup challenge this weekend and thought I would join them. I colored here with my copics- geesh it has been a long time since I have used them. I am guessing at least 3 weeks! I missed using them. The DSP is basic grey and I love the yummy colors. Katie and Gabby challenged us to a variety of DSP that coordinated, and I usually have a hard time with that but these just fell right together i think.
I know it is a short post but have a lot going on. So, thanks for stopping in and hope to see you back tomorrow!

Dream to be...............

Hello everyone- is this a bright and cheerful card or what? It makes me thing of summer when I look at it and it also reminds me of that book I AM that my friend just published, doesn't it? The card is actually made following a sketch and color combo from Verve's monthly challenge (again). All of it is SU paper and cardstock, ribbon too! I thought I would go ahead and distress it a little as well and enter it in the Alota challenge as well as the spotlight challenge, which I won a "spotlight" on this last week.

Off I go- gotta go to church, out to lunch with the family and then, I am hoping to get some more crafting done!

Daisy Birthday

Happy Saturday! I hope it is the beginning of a wonderful weekend for all of you! I am actually looking forward to it because other than 1 basketball game I have no other plans and the laundry is done ! This card I made using the sketch and the colors from the Verve February Challenge. I have really enjoyed all those sketches and Amber and Julee always do such a fab job. So this one uses upsy daisy from SU along with all SU colors. It just looks yummy to me. I also used one of my punches on the corner that I have not used in AGES! I always liked that look of the thread around the edges so I tried it again.
Have a good one!

Jesus Loves You

Another wonderful day, this card I also made the other night when I got a few minutes to stamp and create. I choose to participate in the High Hopes Challenge which required me to use 3 DSP, 3 flowers and 3 buttons- how fun is that? I chose some SU paper that I have been hoarding and put it to good use (think spring!). Then I also chose the sentiment Jesusu loves you to complete the requirement for the SSIC Challenge which required you to use a sentiment that showed how much Jesus loves you. It just feels like a fun and cheerful card as I was making it. I hope that you enjoy and have a great day all!

Heirlooms

Good Morning all! I am back to actually doing some crafting after almost 2 weeks! I was so stoked after finishing work and dinner last night at 8pm that I went through some of my challenges and chose a few to work on. I did combine a couple and this card is for the Spotlight Challenge where you had to use a household item other than crafting item on your card. Can you guess? Yep, I had not used a pop tab in forever. The other challenge is the Alota29 challenge in which you had to distress. So I distressed with inks and then I also distressed the edges of the top layer with the paper distresser. I adore the colors on this card.

Thanks for stopping over and take care!

Whats on your Work Desk Wednesday?

Ok, I found this Julia's blog and she posts every Wednesday a picture of her workdesk, no matter what- it gets its picture taken and then you get to see what she is working on. Sometimes it is projects and other times it is clean (not very often but just sayin....). So I thought I would join in and play along from time to time. Now usually this is what my workdesk looks like, I know I am kind of anal but I can not leave it a mess! Honestly I think it would keep me up at night and then I would dread coming back in to work at it. So after a vacation this is what it looks like. You can see some remnants of what I was working on though, the little vintage tags, you might recall some cards I posted a few days ago with them. Then off to the left there is a little heart jar and tin with candies in it- left over form the little goody bags that I made. Then a few little cut outs and last but not least some colored images.

Now we are going to do a little panning to the right to see what else is going on in my work area:

Ah, what do you think? I love my punches and used to keep them in a drawer and always forgot to use them....... UNtill my hubby made this wonderful rak for me. I actually have 2 of them now and I am loving them. I still put my border punches in a drawer but I do not hesitate to use them anytime now! Those little buckets that hang on the bottom I keep my glue gun and other little things I want at fingertip in.

So come on, come join us and see what everyone else's desk looks like, what they are working on and what organization they use. It is fun.

Sniffin Bunny

Today's card is an easel card which I am sure you have all seen but I had still to try. It was quite fun to make and it is so cute. It is a small one that is for sure, much smaller than I had anticipated. If you've not made one, you need to try it. The image is one I got in an image swap a long time ago- not even sure who makes this one. The papers are from my box of DCWV pads.

I hope you like him! We should be back from vacation today.......... hoping to be a little tan and a little warmer/rested.

LOVE

Today, another very quick post! Happy Valentine's Day!! I hope that you are all having a fabulously romantic day. I am in Mexico......... so romance or not- I am enjoying my day. (wink). This is another card that I made with the vintage Valentine Tag sheet and covered with the crackle candy- that stuff is darned fun to use and easy. I wanted the card to be plain and vintage so I kept it very simple. But it portrays the message I wanted!

True Heart

I am so bummed that I took these photographs and they looked fine on the camera, then I mailed them off. Well now I post them and you can't really tell what the heart says! The main sentiment says True Heart and is a tag set that I bought- it has a bunch of old vintage tags and such. I used TH clear crackle candy on it and then went with a simple red and kraft paper. It is embossed with the hearts folder.

Have wonderful day!

Jewelry Fits Nicely

This is a box that I first saw over on the Verve Parade and thought it was so sweet. It actually has drawers in it, you all may have seen it already but I hadn't and thought what a wonderful project and could be a sweet gift. So I set out to get the tutorial and make one.

Now I must say that it was alot of work, it took me two evenings to put it all together and well, quite honestly it is not perfect. I won't draw attention to my flaws but to say the least I will be making another one in the future to really fine tune some of the details of this one. And for those that are perfectionist, well do take your time making this one or else you may be disappointed. I had to laugh when I showed it to Jim as he said, "It is broken, it doesn't even open" Uhem, it has drawers on it- he looked at me like I was crazy- like what could you possibly put in those small drawers. I of course told him that jewelry would be a pretty amazing gift in that box! (wink)

Herer is a side picture that you can actually see the little drawer that I have made and it pulls out with the little decorative knob. I didn't have any true knobs so this one I made with my SU brad kit and used coordinating paper. As I am looking at the top of the box it is missing something so I will think about it and add something.
Well off I go. Have a fabulous day!

What am I thinking?

Ok, this will be my last Valentine Project I do believe. I am still trying to get all these little things done for the kids. Since I always take goodies with me on our vacation so the kids have Valentine goodies (we have gone away for Valentine's for the last 6 years or so, so they missed out on the school parties).

I am still focusing on not making them too girly, too mushy, and this one is a little more, Oh I don't know. Good for a girl but no frills. I put a string on the back covered by a heart punch and it pulls around to the front and wraps around the brad- this keeps it closed until the recipient decides to open it.

Happy Valentine's!

Much Love

WOW- ok, so did you watch the Superbowl game? I think it is the first time I have ever watched the entire game! It was definately a great game, well matched and fun. I am thrilled that the Saints won, the people of N.O. needed that I think after the last few years. Now don't get me wrong, I like P.M. and would have rooted for him had it been anyone else.

I am back at it,
making little Valentine treats for family and friends. I needed a few to take to the Super Bowl party so these were some quickies I made up so that we would have a little "sweets" on hand. I made this little pack from just eyeballing the package of candy I had made. THey are basically 2in tall by 2 in wide and then there is a little flap that I folded over and decorate. Easy Peasy I tell you. I think that the hardest part was getting my circle and scallop to match. :)

Don't forget about the One World One Heart event going on right now. I have a give away, remember that sweet book I showed you a couple weeks ago? Check out the post HERE for a chance to win it!

Well that is it for today- enjoy!

Birthday Wishes

Wanted to change up my theme a little bit this morning so went with a Happy Birthday card in nice bright colors. This is one I made with a color challenge and I like it- so happy and cheerful! And that label is just beautiful, kind of forget when I don't use it much at all. The flower is made with a pop up lilly punch.

Little Sugar

Good Morning to you all! Just a very quick note as I have a swamped weekend and still trying to figure out how I will have time to pack for vacation. We are headin off to Mexico this week! How does that sound to you? I would take you all if I could, wouldn't that be a blast? All of us blog hoppers down in Mexico together, soaking up the son and gabbing (maybe a little drink in our hands!). Ah.............................

Ok, well this littlel card is made with an alota stamp and a simple little sketch to say the least. The DSP is Stampin Up. Simple and fun!

Have a great day!

Conversation......

Here I am again today with another treat! This is a little bottle that I had some shower gel or something in (and yes I did wash it very very well!) I really liked it and originally thought I would put some rub ons on it and then use it on a daily basis with lotion or hand cleaner but then I thought that all these sweet little hearts would be so cute in it. I used my large heart punch to decorate it. These punches are so wonderful, I thought the regular size was nice and these are even more fun. I look forward to adding them to some scrapbook pages too!

PS: do you notice all my hearts are backwards? what was I thinkin?

Sweet Wallet

Today's post is a sweet little wallet that I made after seeing them on SCS a week or so ago. I even made it look like faux leather- that was alot of fun! You have all got to try it. I made mine black and then added the pink embellishments. Then for a little valentine treat I tucked this little package of conversation hearts in it. Verve is having a little treat and tin parade and I thought this would be a perfect treat!

Have a fabulous Monday!

NO Garbage

I have yet another treat box for the Verve Parade. OK, I talked my son into letting me make him and his friends (all 17 and 18 year old boys) Valentine's this year. I truly miss making little treats for the classroom and well............. I don't want to embarrass him by walking into his senior class of architecture and handing out heart treats. hm......... well maybe I would but I won't. Anyhow I asked him if I could make them all Valentine stuff and he promptly told me NO. I bribed him, told him I would fill them with LOTS of candy............. he thought momentarily and agreed. LOL. Those boys always come over and go through my pantry for candy so I knew THEY would love it. Maybe he thinks it will be fun but he did also tell me they would all throw them away. I told him I had one stipulation: they are not allowed to throw them away here at our house, they must take them home.
So to encourage them to take them home, they all seem to be nice boys, I thought I would give them all a little idea. What do you think?
