Stamp Class

Okay, as promised to a handful of you customers and friends, these are the projects that we made last week at my stamp class that I held here in my home. The tart n tangy card you've seen. The jar is a candle and we put a scallop circle on the top, wrapped stitched ribbon around it with a tag. Then a Father's Day card- I love this set of stamps, it is one of my favorite and what a wonderful masculine image. So all my customers walked out with these projects in hand and did a great job on them! Kudos girls!

Now this card is a card that I made for Taylor's challenge. You were to use a small image and stamp 3 of them on the front of the card. Of course, I used pomegranite b/c I love these apples with this color. I do like how the card turned out, matter of fact I made a couple that are similar to this. I have been trying to make a couple cards when I sit down so that I make the most of my time stamping. Otherwise I could sit down and spend an hour on 1 card- then I feel un-fruitful (ha ha- no pun intended!).

WE ARE EXTENDING THE DATE TO TUESDAY MORNING.............

Baubles and Primas

Okay, so I know you want to see a card or project........ so I was looking at all these little primas that I have and thinking what can I do with all these. Since I have boys I don't use them much and I wanted something that was going to focus on them. So I pulled out my neverending joy stamp set and I came up with this idea. Is this not beautiful, yet very simple? I ended up making a set of 6 variations of these and I am really happy with them. So ladies get out those primas and do something with them! My challenge to you.
The next photo is my Bella baubles.......... I had to share with you because they are so yummy. It kinda makes you wanna jump into a huge pile of them. The colors are so pretty and the little baubles are shiny and round. If you have not tried them out- it is a must!

Have an awesome weekend!

Spots and more spots!

This little giraffe is too cute and I decided to make this card using a sketch contest. Look at his spots, can you see them? They are flocked and that is sweet! Whilel I made one card, I thought I would make a second one as well. This one I just changed up the sketch a bit.
This one I did not flock the giraffe, just changed up his colors a little bit. I also wanted him to stand out from the card so I made the card base a little short and have him going above it. I still think he is just too cute!
I hope you enjoyed these little guys-

Cherries and Punches

You know, when I first saw this set I thought to myself, who puts fruit on cards? I mean, really- what kind of message do you send to someone on a card with fruit on it? Oranges/Limes, strawberries, cherries and apples- pleassssssssse! Well I got it anyways and I am telling you, I love the cards I can make with it but I am still troubled with the message to send. For instance, this card is so cute- but what message do I use along the bottom of it? You tell me, if you got this card, what would it say to you? And well, if you don't like the card and got it- it still might say something, maybe not something nice- but do tell! (hee hee....) I used real red card base, stamped with the RR and and OOlive for the cherries and OO grosgrain as well.

Oh and did you notice the scallop edge? Well when I was in CA last week and wasting time at Target I found the treading water punch and that is it- it scallops and punches the hole. Now to be honest, when I heard of this I thought I can punch that hole in my own scallops- but heck for 9.99- yeah, that is what they charge at Target ladies! NOT the 14.99 the other stores charge- so check out your local Target for this punch. So sweet!

Hope you like the card and please, do tell me what it should say girls!

Thank YOU!

Oh, what was it a couple of weeks ago when I was at Jen's we did 3 projects and this one I had not finished at her house so I had to bring it home and complete it. I have seen these tins and the little nuggets but had not done any. So we ordered a few and this is my finished product. Now, you can put candies in them but you know what else is sweet? Filling it with die cuts and chipboard shapes! I am thinking that I am going to host a party and give my hostess a sweet gift (not sur if it will be candy sweet or die cut sweet!). I am loving this paper-
Okay- then my mother's friend needed a card for someone that was an Eagle Scout and she wanted it to be a Graduation and Eagle Scout type card. Well, I am the last person to know anything about Eagle Scouts, what with my boys being into football, basketball, golf and video games, so I did some research with the ladies on SCS and this is what I came up with. The background is actually printed on cardstock and then I used the newest SU graduation set, added the fleur de fleu (what is that?). She was happy with the card and I thought it looked nice, masculine and seriously Eagle Scout. Now, she would like one for her great grand niece........hm, not sure if this is the direction I was going! Just kiddin............ this is the fun part!
Oh- yeah, I got the fritzzzzzzzzzzzz out of the puter- I think the little man did some overloading of the circuits loading some gaming stuff and it was tuckered out. Well this is something else I don't know much about but I am just glad it is fixed and I can post again! Talk to you later- I better do some more projects now!

Computer Fritzzzzzzzzzzzzzz!

I apologize for not posting this weekend ladies. I was in CA last week and thought I could update on Friday but our PC has not been allowing me to upload any photos to the website. So, I apologize for this and will keep working at this issue so I can be back up and posting pics of goodies for you. I am sorry.................. (so sad too!).

In the meantime, as many have noticed I did update my blog- tell me what you think! I also have a friend with a new scrapbooking store, she is just getting it rolled out but check it out there to the right, she has some super cute penquins!

I am waiting on Kimmie to send me a RAK (random act of kindness) that I promised to share and PIF (pay it forward) so be on the look out for that!

Tata and hope to be back posting photos soon!

For Father

I have seen a few versions of this photo wallet and thought I would give it a try. This uses Thoughts of Father which is in the new catalog. And once again, I wanted to use some new color combinations so I pulled out my color coach and looked around, I thought the moss, burgundy and saffron worked well together. It was also a color combination that I thought went well with the main images of this stamp set. Here is a picture of the inside of the album- for more ideas, check out SCS gallery and put wallet in the search engine. Here is a picture of the inside of the wallet. I put the main image in the center but you really can do it however you would like. The plan would be that the photos would be on the two blank burgundy and the blank safron and then journaling could be done on the journalling blocks. I colored the photo with markers and to be honest I just kind of colored the flowers randomly and then filled in the greens with moss. The little belly band goes around it once it is all closed up.
Instructions:
Wallet Base 4in x 11in score at 1 3/4, 2,5,8
Inside Panels 7 1/2in x 2 3/4in, score at 3 3/4in
Belly Band 8in x 1in
Journaling block 3 1/2in x 2 1/2in
Have fun trying them out!

Carousel Purse

WEll did you all think that I was done blogging? Nope, just so much going on in RL that I have not gotten over here to the computer. Plus, on Sunday I was looking through my projects and photos and went........... I have nothing to show you guys! How can that be? But, you are not here to listen to my excuses so we move on.
I got together with my upline (kim) and my downline (Hi Jen!) on Tuesday night and this is the first project we worked on. I just loved when I saw this purse on JanTink's site and Jen decided to tackle it! THANK YOU Jen, she had Kim and I movin right along, well I should say she tried. We were all laughing because it took us almost 2 hours to get this done. We were being "tards" and you would have thought we had never done any stamping or project making: it was quite comical and we just chalked it up to Kim's cold medication (not sure what my excuse was though?) This purse is made with the carousel notes/envelopes , Live your Dream Stamp Set, and Afternoon Tea-all SU product in the Occasions mini. This picture is the inside of the purse spread open- notice the little tabs on the inside- you actually pull out the carousel notes and can put pictures or journalling on them. This paper is beautiful and for those paper "ho's" you just have to have it. I am going to try this with some of the other sets and I will be looking for some more square envelopes in other colors. Oh, see that little green flower on the journalling matte? That is one of SU build your own brad sets- I will have to get that. You stamp an image, glue it onto the brad and then cover with an acrylic dot- how fun is that? I think that if I do this again it will not take as long for me (hoping here!)

So- there you go- the project for now, I do have a couple more to post this week so check back, I will post more this week and again, I apologize for my laziness!
